Harris would be an atrocious pick. I’ve gotta think she’s only being mentioned as a favorite as some sort of a nice gesture. I wouldn’t let her anywhere near my campaign.

She’s on the list because of her handling of the riots in Atlanta, I’d venture to guess. At least that’s why I’d have her on my list. Doesn’t hurt that she’s in Georgia which could be in play.

Biden backed himself in a corner saying he’s pick a woman. He almost certainly has to pick a black woman. That limits the candidate pool to 6% of the population. It’s sad because he most likely won’t make it through a term.

Counterpoint: she was getting openly mocked on twitter for her speech.
So I don't know how much her handling of Atlanta's protests/riots were helpful.
More likely a move to try to encourage turnout in Georgia to try to make it more likely to go blue.

Atlanta proper is not a large city. Bottoms barely presides over more people than Cantrell in Orleans Parish.
But I mean she’s black, asked people to stop rioting, and a handful of blue checks say she’s smart so I guess she can be President
