That is quite appropriate...

I was at the Walmart in Elmwood last night and I encountered a family of 5 Eastern Europeans of some description: mom, dad, high school age daughter and 2 adult sons. Best guess is Slovak or Hungarian based only on the snippets of conversation I caught.

They were ambling around the place like it was a museum, walking slowly and taking everything in, fairly mystified by most of what they saw. I saw the two adult sons get visibly bemused by a mid-aisle Powerade display, the whole family seemed generally astonished by the variety available in the snack aisle, and when I last saw them, they were up by the self-checkout all gathered around some sort of promotional spherical Coca-Cola bottle, passing one around like was a rare artifact.

I’ll put it this way: if they hadn’t been very obviously European tourists, anyone acting the way that they were acting would have made me assume that they were on some VERY powerful psychedelic drugs. They were broadly acting just the same.

They seemed very nice and I’m glad they had a good time.

Hidden Valley needs to step up their international marketing.

Do they have the homeless encampments is these cities cordoned off to see how the D run cities really look and feel?

I know most of this is for clicks on Twitter, but I still think it's hilarious how leftists seethe with rage every time a Swede or Dane talks about how much they love Bucees or ranch dressing.

Leftists hate America and they can't stand when others don't hate America too.

Everything these foreigners are celebrating about America is everything the left hates. And many, if not the majority of the videos are about the south. The backwards, racist, knuckle dragging horrific shooting gallery of the south.

I've seen almost all of their stuff. Josh & Jace were trailblazers years ago when it came to trying to get Brits specifically to grasp just how awesome the US is.

They'll need to strip out all of the horse shite that's in their products if they want to sell in Europe. On the whole, food in the EU can only pull from a list of less than 400 allowable ingredients.

In the US, that FDA-approved list is over 4,000.

It shouldn't have taken MAGA/MAHA to get Frito-Lays to come up with the NKD line of chips where the Doritos cut all the synthetic shite that's in their chips but miraculously taste like they used to before they tossed a whole chemistry set into the bag with the tortilla chips, but once the demand was big enough, they found a way.

Ditto with places returning to cooking with tallow, shunning seed oils, etc.

I'm anything but a health food nut, but trying to minimize exposure to nonsense in the food my wife and I consume is a priority.

I know that the German guy Freddy started in the south but will eventually end up in New York. I'll be curious to see his take on the two very different regions.

Granted he has become such a phenomenon that he will probably be treated like royalty there by some of the well to dos, but if he encounters the regular rank and file who aren't on social media I wonder what his takeaways will be.

I've heard a couple of Europeans talk about American homes located in the suburbs. Europe has large mansions for the rich and small houses or apartments for everyone else. But lots of Americans have 2,300 sf homes with 3 bedrooms, 3 baths and large yards with a 2 car garage. They say that's rare where they came from.

Crazy thing. When i was stationed in England I rented a 2800.sq ft home, 2 car garage out in the boonies. No ac but did have fans which was weird and not normal for there. Sitting on just under an acre of land. Frick that tv license crap though.

I am watching The Rest if Football on Netflix right now.

Alan Shearer, one of the hosts and former striker for England, and most prolific goal scorer in the Premier League, is in Houston to cover the Netherlands / Sweden game.

He said he watched a local guy step off a "tram" yesterday, drop his pants, and take a shite on the platform.

I worked with a SC company that had German ownership. They’d ship in a new CEO every so often.

It never failed, they’d get here and look down their nose at our huge vehicles while driving some little foreign thing. Then within a year they’d pull up in a brand new gigantic Yukon, Tahoe or F150.

Some of the videos I saw had visitors amazed at bank drive throughs and also yellow school buses. They thought the buses were a myth, lol.

It really makes me proud to be an American when I see people come here and see how great we have it. I believe anyone who wants to come here, assimilate and work hard, we should allow them in.
