The USSC is acting like the nation is not at a precipice...

They continue to operate as if all other branches of the government are functional with respect to the foundational establishment of the country.
They continue to pass responsibility to Congress, when they have been proven to abdicate their responsibilities to other branches/entities.
The supreme Court is doing their job, they just fail to realize they are not operating in the frame of reality that they were established under.
With an innefectual congress that hands off legislation to presidents to enact as executive orders subject to the judicial, how can ANY important measures be implemented?

So you're mad at them for doing their job?
They're not supposed to go rogue and interpret things how you want them to
You would have an absolute conniption fit if they did that in the opposite direction
Let them do their job and quit whining

No I think the ruling they made is a dumb way to do it. If they want to push congress just say that an EO wasnt the way to do it.

I said they are doing their job. You are wishcasting if you thought I was mad. You can't get mad at something that is functional.

And, since Congress is worthless, Trump must keep the border closed and deport every fricking illegal that’s here.

I hope you didn't need the supreme court to tell you that
EOs have no staying power. They can just get reversed by the next president.

No. My point was rather than set another decision that any illegal can pop a squat in America and have that kid be a citizen, rule EO was the wrong vehicle and put the pressure on congress

What do you think their job is?
They are supposed to interpret the Constitution and apply that interpretation to the case they have before them.
They aren't there to make a statement. They are there to make a ruling.

It's not the job of the supreme court to put the pressure on congress to draft new legislation.
Do you think legislators are unaware that the EO had no staying power?
Here is the truth - there isn't as much political will in congress as you think to get this legislation passed. It is not likely to change anytime soon.

D.C. and the power structure are not at a precipice. They’re making more money than they ever have, live in gated enclaves, attend black tie dinners, etc. They don’t pay for their healthcare, don’t have to worry about retirement, have a ton of money, they’re kids/grandkids attend the finest schools and have an inside track to doing the same thing. They’re set.
They don’t care about any of his shite…their whole purpose in life is to maintain the status quo and eventually move to their house in the Hamptons and go on the speaking circuit.

And do think they interpreted the Constitution correctly?
Do you think the founding fathers thought that we would be compromised from within and have 45 million illegal immigrants invaded into our country stealing our resources?

Interesting how the folks that ridicule “sky screamers” are now….sky screamers. All because part of the constitution wasn’t overturned in their favor. ??

There is a small subset of MAGA that have always been skycreamers

Because the other side is doing bad things.

Seems like an oversimplification of things
But the Supreme Court isn't meant to satisfy the political whims of any partisan group.

'round these parts if you point out why there is a separation of powers and why they should be followed as our Founding Fathers prescribed and designed via the Constitution
You get called a liberal
Where are all the Russia fans these days
or the non-interventionalist
its like Dick Cheney is in charge

This is by design. They want nothing substantial to get done unless it's something that moves the country to the left and towards globalism. Period.
The GOP cries about how they are going to do all these great things for the country if people will put them in power, yet they do nothing when they have absolute power to do almost anything they want that would move the country to the right and squash Marxism. They could easily save America and put this country back on a path that 80% of the population would be happy with but they are to corrupt to get it done. They are compromised and controlled.

There was never much of a chance of an EO changing something that is a constitutional amendment. This was the expected outcome. Whether you think it is right or wrong is pretty irrelevant at the end of the day.
