I agree the fuel prices aren’t really all that important at this point. They’re going to be very volatile as long as we leave the straight closed though with very high price rises and falls everyday which will drive gas up. It’s already 3.40 near Savannah and I think it was like 2.70 before this started so it’s not like it’s crushing people just yet but that is stark if you’re very low income.

I fill up gas like twice a month. So maybe 40-50 gallons a month. That's like $30 a month difference from before. And I drive a not-so-efficient truck. Anyone that drive a fuel-efficient vehicle is not even noticing a difference.

I'll pay more to see Iran continue to get the shite kicked out of them. This is a long time coming.

This needed to be a short operation. Which didnt happen.

Trump initially said 4-5 weeks

I agree with you.

Has the third air craft carrier group we are sending to the region made it there yet?

What makes you think they didn’t have it figured out ahead of time. Not everything happens instantly. Sounds to me their plan is to first establish military dominance of sea and air. I think we are pretty close to achieving that. It’s been like a week and half. Let them do their jobs. So far it seems like they are doing it pretty wells

Their whole plan is that we’d drop a bunch of bombs and kill a lot of people - then the Iranian people would magically rise up and overthrow the rest of their leadership and the military quickly.

Except for the whole part where Trump told the Iranians to stay inside for the time being.

If Trump really thought they would rise up in a week, then why did he tell them to stay safe? Why has he not told them to rise up since then?

Trump literally said it would take 4-5 weeks, so why are you so eager to say it's a failure before week 2 is even over?

It's amazing how many people think that Trump didn't think things through just because a country of religious fanatics didn't fall in 10 days.

The expectations this board has is absurd. Their willingness to quickly admit defeat is pathetic.

It's apparent that most people don't live in the real world.

Ummm it is an asset allocation issue. We can’t just shite destroyers and frigates needed for escort duty when right now we have to first defend the fleet, find, fix and destroy all threats to the fleet!

What are the threats to our fleet? Trump said we are basically out of targets.

Just asking the question - will the escorts even be able to guarantee safety to these tankers and can they take out these sears for cheap drones with a stick of dynamite on them? I know the Russias and the Ukrainians have had very little answer for them
