Easy fix. I will not watch or cheer and I will lower my expectations of them winning. That is at least the pressure from one person removed from their shoulders.
Does the media ever consider that they cause the issue? A lot of these athletes probably just want to play their sport and not be an activist. I doubt there are many that even know what's going on outside of the media telling them. The media also bullies them into having an opinion. They can't take the Saban approach and say they don't care if it is not football.
