When are you predicting the war will be over? (Nice that you guys are using the correct word now)

quote:

Ukraine will lose a third of their territory

So, you think the international community will recognize this? And stop fueling the insurgency?

Because you know the idea of a 15 to 20 year civil war boil on Russia's ball sack is absolutely Europe's wet dream, right?

Dead men tell no tales

1/2??Zelenskyi: “There is a difficult encirclement in Mariupol right now. Today is one of the most difficult days. They shoot from the sea, from land, from tanks, from artillery - from everything they can.”

Azov fighters are Ukraine's greatest weapon and may be its greatest threat
This article is more than 7 years old
The battalion's far-right volunteers' desire to 'bring the fight to Kiev' is a danger to post-conflict stability

Fighters from the battalion told the Guardian last month they expected a "new revolution" in Ukraine that would bring a more decisive military leader to power, in sentiments similar to those of many Azov fighters.

Despite the desire of many in the Azov to bring violence to Kiev when the war in the east is over, the battalion receives funding and assistance from the governor of Donetsk region, the oligarch Serhiy Taruta.

That’s the point. They need to stop. Not because Russia is formidable. But because they are going to create the environment both militarily and economically where pushing further is Russias best option. Not stopping in the east of Ukraine.

And China is working in unison with them and licking their lips over Taiwan. Russia has half the NATO countries by the balls with energy. To pretend otherwise is ludicrous. Stop listening to what the tv spoon feeds and research a bit on the European economy in the past 20-30 years.

In Russia and China, you get thrown in jail or disappear for having a different opinion than the government. Glory to the people! Glory to the American , French, British, and other allied Volunteers fighting the good fight in Ukraine against the dictator Putin! This man has been in power in Russia for 18+ years. Ukraine is sovereign nation and has the right to be free of "Russian Influence". FOR THE WEST! FOR THE FREE WORLD! DEATH TO RUSSIA AND THE CHINESE COMMUNIST PARTY. KILL THE THOSE COMMIE BASTARDS!

The Guardian reported on autopsies of some of the Bucha dead, from the mass graves.

They found flechettes in the bodies. And a local woman reports finding flechettes in her car.

I suspect the dead were caught by either Ukrainian or Russian shelling, after the Russian withdrawal.

In other news the Russians are sending this ship to the site of the Moskva

One of the most interesting ships of the Russian Navy, Kommuna (???????) was laid down in 1912 and launched in 1913. The unusual catamaran arrangement allows for small submarines to be carried between the hulls. It was originally intended to lift stricken submarines into this area.

40 house Democrats?
Does that equate to 17 intelligence agencies?
Does that equate to 97% of scientists?
Just trying to put things in perspective.

Politico

quote:

Eighty miles north of the city, First Lt. Ivan Skuratovsky, serving in the 25th Airborne Brigade, told POLITICO that help needs to come immediately.

“The situation is very bad, [Russian forces] are using scorched- earth tactics,” the 31-year-old married father of two said via text. “They simply destroy everything with artillery, shelling day and night,” he said via text.

He fears that if reinforcements in the form of manpower and heavy weaponry — particularly air support — don’t arrive in the next few days, his troops could find themselves in the same position as those in Mariupol.

Skuratovsky described his soldiers’ situation as “very desperate.”

“I don’t know how much strength we will have,” he said, adding that the troops under his command around the city of Avdiivka, near Donetsk, have gone without rest since the start of the war. At least 13 of them have been wounded in recent weeks, he said, and they are running dangerously low on ammunition, reduced to rationing bullets.

The day before, he told POLITICO his soldiers were being bombarded with Russian howitzers, mortars and multiple-launch rocket systems “at the same time.” Just hours earlier, he said, they had been attacked by two Su-25 warplanes, “and our day became hell.”

Skuratovsky had a message for the United States and other NATO countries: “I would like to tell them that grenade launchers are good, but against airstrikes and heavy artillery we will not be able to hold out for long. People can no longer endure daily bombardments. We need air support now. We need drones.”

all you gotta do to beat a Russian invasion is pound every fuel depot and train station near the border with missiles. The Russians have almost no logistical capability to project force past where they can get to by train. It's really pretty amazing how shitty and incompetent they are

I think you can toss out almost all of the western media coverage. It’s written by people who aren’t there, relying on statements made by partisan parties, and in service to the war effort.

The media, for us, is an extension of the war effort. And we use it to promote allied morale, and undermine Russians morale. It also ensures continued western support, despite Ukrainian losses.

The problem is, we’re in an emperors new clothes situation, where the allied propaganda is completely divorced from the reality on the ground. But everyone continues to play make believe.

The Ukrainians will be on the “on the cusp of a triumphant victory” until some Tuesday, when they suddenly aren’t, and are shockingly falling apart.

And everyone’s going to be very confused. Because it’s not only not what they were lead to believe, it’s logically impossible for them. It will be painful and befuddling.

sounds like russia about a week into the war, then they had to scurry back from kiev to belarus with half their tanks destroyed. what you say about western media and ukraine applies equally or more so to russian media. hell, even their own media would rather you think they are shitty and incompetent by accidentally blowing up their own flagship rather than admit the ukranians sunk it

Well then just look at the knowns…

- Russia invaded northern Ukriane and attempted to encircle Kyiv… after several weeks and heavy losses, they retreated.
- Russia still considers this a ‘special operation’… they have not declared war and instituted a general mobilization. As a result, there is a finite amount of manpower committed to the fight.
- Russia still does not have air superiority.
- Russia is either incapable or unwilling to perform combined arms tactics
- Mariapol still hasn’t completely capitulated.

Those are facts my man… whether you wanna believe them or not.

This guy doesn't buy the Scott Ritter feint argument, he says Russia definitely scrapped Plan A. But, he sees a slow chokeout coming now in the east. This makes me sad if he is right.
Dreizin report.
