This is a lie. You are posting fake news.

The fake quote comes from "America's Last Line Of Defense" a troll group.

It is funny how a segment of the population are so easily duped.

People assume if it's posted on X, it's true.

All this sounds so familiar...I just can't put my finger on it.

Yeah, but boy the responses are golden.

They can understand why increasing the cost of bringing goods across your borders is a stupid idea.

Unless it's Trump who wants to do it. Then it's 18th D chess.

Good for them. Most likely a good business decision. They probably lose money trucking into that shite hole.

This post is satire. Look at the bottom right. And then go google for yourself and see if you can find anything, anywhere, about this.

Basic economics were never a strong competency for people that vote for Marxists.

This is why it is necessary to read posts on Poli. The captions look interesting enough to open and read. And if the post is BS, it will be sniffed out like you did. It is much more efficient than reading through real news sources where we know articles are written to reinforce a narrative from both sides.

No offense to anyone, but anything provided by a couple of certain posters I am always skeptical of. I think they mean well, but get duped pretty often. Except for MrLSU. Everything that dude posts is bullshite.

But, at the end increasing domestic taxes is just going to directly increase the cost to those users as the cost of the goods is increased. So I don’t see how the citizens would end up better here

Well yea, but they’re getting magic “free” groceries, just like 42 million Americans already do.

It basically is.

That's why the responses here are so awesome.

Trump does it: "What a genius, THIS is what I voted for. If the SCOTUS strikes down tariffs they will have killed the nation, etc."

Mandami does it: "What an idiot. That's going to cause prices to skyrocket.
Doesn't he know he can't do this unilaterally?"

Mayor Pete was the white guy that couldn’t run a smaller town and the democrats loved him. Imagine a Muslim communist running a huge international city, this will turn into a national embarrassment soon enough

Tell everybody on this board you have no idea what a tariff is or how a tariff works

You are so caught up in TDS that you make yourself sound like an idiot

Also might want to read up on the interstate commerce part of the constitution
