from this article

"The officials said it was a routine briefing that covered a number of topics and that Trump’s appearance in the documents wasn’t the focus.

They told the president at the meeting that the files contained what officials felt was unverified hearsay about many people, including Trump, who had socialized with Epstein in the past, some of the officials said. One of the officials familiar with the documents said they contain hundreds of other names.

They also told Trump that senior Justice Department officials didn’t plan to release any more documents related to the investigation of the convicted sex offender because the material contained child pornography and victims’ personal information, the officials said. Trump said at the meeting he would defer to the Justice Department’s decision to not release any further files."

Yep the left’s counterpunch coming from the WSJ owned by that infamous leftist, Rupert Murdoch.
Isn't the WSJ being sued by somebody over something? I vaguely recall something about a lawsuit.

I really don't understand why we cant do both. Why does it have to be one or the other?

If Obama/the Obama administration did this then they should be held accountable. If Trump or anyone is connected to Epstein's empire then they should be held accountable.

Both sides are acting like the other one is using the other narrative to cover up their own narrative. And they probably are.

Go after Obama, go after those who were involved with Epstein's depravity. It shouldn't be a contest to see which political party can get a win first. That's why we keep going in circles.

Drain the swamp. No matter which side you are on, the bad has to go.

They are, and they don’t seem very concerned about it. I’ll be sitting here with my popcorn watching Rupert Murdoch, the man that basically gave Trump the path to the WH in 2016, duke it out with close Epstein associate, and accused sex criminal, Donald Trump.

I mean it probably is in there. The dude was a socialite. There are probably tons of names in there of famous and powerful people. Not every one of them was involved.

Right. There was tremendous opportunity for Eric Holder, Bill Barr, and Merck Garland to do something. MAGA thought Pam Bondi would be better.

Nicole Wallace just had a 3 person panel.

One of the panelist was Andrew Weissman. Not one question about Russia. All in on WSJ story, no mention of seditious conspiracy.

Do they NOT realize that the Binders that Pam Bondi made for the influencers had Trump's name all over the place from flight logs, etc?

There IS a way we already know. The democrats did nothing with this information. You can be sure that, were Trump's name in the Epstein files in any substantive manner... not just "hitched a ride on his plane to New York or Mar a Lago" that the dems would have run with it years ago. Balls to the wall run with it. But you know this already, and are simply being a disingenuous hack.

It's been said many times, but if the files contained anything damning to Trump, the left would have released them long ago.
