The problem is how Louisiana and the rest of America are going to fix the problems like crimes and lack of education and make sure everyone will do their part to clean up crimes and other issues that are not getting fixed and some of the problems are getting worse. How do we fix all of this? I have been a victim for the last 37 or so years. People will do anything to get things done their way no matter what.

I honestly don’t give a frick about the letter next to anyone’s name. It’s proven to mean nothing.

I wish more people would not care about the letter and start thinking for themselves.

The letter next to the name is a trap. Landry is the epitome of the politician that takes advantage of the ‘R’ next to the name. That’s why the party endorsed him so early. They knew that if they did, it essentially cemented the victory since so many voters are sheepish and vote according to what the party tells them to do.

De list. Go independent. It’s very freeing and it forces the parties to pay attention.

You dumb frick, this sort of shite is held in check for the most part in Louisiana. The governor in Louisianas main tenets should be the following:
1. Drive out the plaintiffs attorneys. These sue happy bastards shouldn’t be a growth industry.
2. Improve the insurance climate (helped by 1).
3. Improve the economy (helped by 1).
4. Help with coastal erosion
5. Cut state government

Once all that nonsense is done and grandstand all you want.

Wrong.... Republicans can't win because of Republicans like Landry. Be the party of fiscal conservatism and individual freedom and Rs would almost never lose an election. But grandstanding like this pushes people in the center away...focus on what matters!

If this board is representative of the Republican Party, the fact that they are only wanting to support the perfect GOP candidate (i.e., Donald Trump) and don't really care about winning the necessary offices beyond means this country is a lost cause.

But lieutenant Dan, Landry isn’t even a Republican

These schysters would call themselves the “party of dumb fricks” if it meant getting elected. Look at what they do, not what letter is behind their name.

. I'd take a 23 year old Liberal that wants all men to have babies as Governor before any of these guys. They are all corrupt. Passing bills they dont even read while they hang out in their office with whiskeys and cigars all day. Its a joke.

We might as well move the Capital to Lafayette. These people don't fight for Baton Rouge. They don't respect LSU / BR culture. They sit there and make each other rich, and they put whatever party tag on themselves thats trending that year. Landry might rerun as democrat next year. who knows

Man, you got him good, except your reading comprehension is so poor that you don’t understand that only says that a governor can’t run again in the next election after serving at least 1.5 consecutive terms. It’s like you dunked on yourself.

I’m officially off the Landry train. I carried water for him but no more. Landry’s opposition to tort reform is indefensible.

The reason why people are so irritated with it is because it’s fake. It’s pandering to morons and Republicans know they can keep up this act and ignorant people who live in some kind of delusional bubble will eat it up.

Remember when that Democratic Senator’s aid decided to film himself being railed in the senate hearing room? Remember how vile and depraved something like that is? Well remember how no Republicans said shite? That’s because they’re equally as freakish and fricking gross and they know not to throw stones. The difference is that they pull out bibles and American flags and crosses. And then idiots like you fall for it.

Former Republican congressman Madison Cawthorne famously said:

quote:

“The sexual perversion that goes on in Washington … being kind of a young guy in Washington, where the average age is probably 60 or 70 – [you] look at all these people, a lot of them that I’ve looked up to through my life, I’ve always paid attention to politics. … Then all of a sudden you get invited – ‘We’re going to have a sexual get-together at one of our homes, you should come.’ … What did you just ask me to come to? And then you realize they’re asking you to come to an orgy. … Some of the people leading on the movement to try and remove addiction in our country, and then you watch them do a key bump of cocaine right in front of you. And it’s like, this is wild.”

That’s your people, dummy.

But Governor Look-At-Me pulls some shite that he absolutely KNOWS it will be overruled. It will be overruled by a Conservative Supreme Court. And then you’ll be clutching your pearls like this is something novel.

I want Republicans to legislate. But they give us bullshite like this? No tax reform? No tort reform? It’s absurd and embarrassing. And people who support it are embarrassingly stupid.

Republicans in this state would rather be mad about the Ten Commandments being in schools or the Governor wanting student athletes to stand for the National Anthem. Oh, the horror!

Doing things that blatantly violate the constitution and don’t address the major issues in the worst state in the union is a bad look.

Maybe I’m going out on a limb here but why not start with our absurd traffic infrastructure and ridiculous tax system first?

Believe it or not, more than one politician can engage in performance politics at a time.

Landry is a straight transactional politician with an authoritarian bend.

They just did dipshit. He vetoed it.

How about his caving on the summer school lunch program? How about the new private school handout program to the tune of potentially more than $60,000 per kid over their elementary through HS career?

Has he done anything about illegals in Louisiana?
