Unfortunately, this is starting to become the norm here. Didn’t realize the average poster here was an impatient child who whined about everything that didn’t go exactly how they wanted.

I love how you fricks think commercial ships should just be blown up without repercussion.

When was the last time a commercial ship was attacked over there prior to this conflict? When the Houthis did it and we bombed the crap out of them?

Regime change was never the goal, so this meme is stupid.

What are the goals? I though we reached the primary goal with Operation Midnight Hammer. Are the goalposts moving yet again?

And this isn't some "panican" thing, it's just like the rest of social media's way of engagement flooding the board everyday

well they did get out in the streets and protest - they had no weapons and 35,000 of them got mowed down by the military

dunno what they can do as long as those with the weapons are happy to murder them in the streets with no way to resist.

Sure, yeah, you all just go "protest" and have no weapons, not a good recipe. They will need to get guerilla and go after small hits and start trying to accumulate some arms.

If it were you, would you fight any way you could or just lie down and keep taking it?

Three very important points.

1) they are completely disarmed
2) the bombs are still falling in Tehran. It wouldn't make much sense to storm buildings that are being targeted for bombing
3) 30,000 plus Iranian citizen protestors were recently murdered for speaking ou

It may happen eventually, but not right now.

They are also being told to stay out right now as the attacks continue to weaken the regime. Watching bombing taking place daily would be a pretty good inkling that rising up now wouldn't be prudent.

Do you not see the contradiction in these two statements?

It took the colonies well over a decade to declare independence from England. Then years of fighting after that. Not exactly analogous, granted, but these things take some amount of time.

It was a big gamble on the part of Trump 2.0 to believe the Persian people would ever organize a street level uprising against the Islamic Regime. Was an uprising possible? Who knows. If a street level uprising was possible it likely went up in flames last Saturday when the IDF hit Iran's oil refineries. When a nation's infrastructure and the primary pillar of its economy is attacked, the attacks tend to coalesce the nation's people. Regime change in Iran is going to be very difficult...... a long and tough slog.

The sad fact, and we are seeing it in different places, is we see people that want freedom and they want to get rid of these oppressive governments, but they are too weak and won't stand up and fight for it themselves.

Millions have died fighting against tyrannical governments "at home".

Our job isn't to give you a peaceful transition. Our job is to eliminate the threats to your country for you. It's on you to carry the baby across the finish line.
