I wonder what Mother Jones would consider a smoking gun. On February 9th, 2020, appearing on the Newt Gingrich podcast “Newt’s world,” Dr. Anthony Fauci said the idea that Covid-19 came from a lab was a “conspiracy theory… without any scientific basis.”
This was eight days after Fauci took part in a conference call with eleven other prominent scientists, including NIH Director Francis Collins, Wellcome Trust Director Jeremy Farrar, UK Chief Scientific Adviser Patrick Vallance, Scripps Research Translational Institute Director Kristian Anderson, Germany’s Christian Drosten, University of Sydney Professor Edward Holmes, the University of Edinburgh’s Andrew Rambaut, Tulane Virology Professor Robert Garry, University of Dundee Professor Mike Ferguson, and Ron Fouchier and M.P.G. Koopmans from the Erasmus Medical Center.
Thanks to the diary, we now know that just three of the scientists in that call — Fauci himself, plus the German Drosten and gain-of-function expert Fouchier — advocated for natural origin. Here’s how Fauci characterized the others:
“The rest felt that deliberate insertion was possible, and given the fact that Dr. Zheng-Li Shi at the University of Wuhan has been working for years in GOF in coronaviruses to allow adaptation of the spike protein to bind to the human ACE2 receptor, we could not let this go.”
This is Fauci in writing explaining that 9 of 12 scientists at a key meeting he attended at the beginning of the pandemic felt that “deliberate insertion” of a key mutation was possible, in part because a prominent Chinese scientist known to all had been working on that exact sequencing problem just miles from where the first cases were reported. To repeat the smoking gun line: “Dr. Zheng-Li Shi at the University of Wuhan has been working for years in [gain-of-function] to allow adaptation of the spike protein to bind to the human ACE2 receptor.”
For Fauci to subsequently say in public that the notion of laboratory release was without “scientific basis” was clearly deceptive. It was deceptive when at a White House briefing on April 18th he said, “the mutations that [Covid] took to get to the point where it is now is totally consistent with a jump of a species from an animal to a human.” It was deceptive not to tell the public he’d been in constant communication with the authors of a Nature Medicine paper he kept citing as proof of this theory, authors who described him as having “prompted” the paper to begin with.

People forget Chinas response to this when it all began. It was definitely a lab leak. They blocked off roads and built a major health center. You don’t do this for an animal at a wet market, which didn’t even get shut down until 2020.

I remember the Chinese woman wiping her
hands over the surface of every laptop on
display in Walmart and another female shopper
calling her out while videoing. She kept wiping.
I posted it and the brain trust here assured
me it was normal behavior
Then they NEIGHED at me.
fricking idiots

Wow. Bobby was probably doing random searches of his family and stumbled across it. Unreal.

Fauci had enough power and control over so many people that they would have drank the koolaid if offered by him, like Jim Jones. Scary that so many trusted whatever he said. Althewhile, he's writing in his diary about all the adoration. I think if he had visited Julia Roberts, he would have gotten laid.

There were videos of Chinese passengers arriving at US airports touching every piece of luggage on the turnstiles at baggage claim. Also, videos of them touching raw fruits and vegetables in grocery stores. Where have all of those videos gone?

Give it time. People are emotionally tied to all things Covid, admitting being fooled is a hard thing.
Victories are rarely realized by the flip of a switch
Look at it like I look at it like an abusive relationship/marriage in many cases it takes a long time to leave/stop believing the abuser because everyone is so invested.
Calm repetition of truth and fact as guidance to our kids gets the ultimate victory.

1) $50 bucks says he still doesn't have a clue. Although, he should start posting here so that a few numbskulls can cover for his insanity by saying he's simply a "contrarian."
2) Based on the way he was singing, I'd rather not contemplate what some of his private activities might be.

Remember the ridiculous videos of Chinese people falling over the street?

We've been conditioned to call it Covid instead of the China Flu. Some social media sites would ban you or put you in time-out for using China Flu.

Fauci really needs to be in prison.
I don't understand why more people are not completely outraged over what he did.
People died. Children were made uneducated. Businesses were lost. Homes were lost. Families were destroyed. Old people died alone. Social problems and anxieties compounded.
The President is not an epidemiologist, nor a scientist. This was an almost unprecedented challenge. He had to rely on the physicians and scientists who had access to him. To ignore them would have been non sensical.
And Fauci was lying to him, and everyone. The emails and journals are out.
And yet there are still people that don't seem to be bothered by what happened or, even worse, still defend this POS.
It bothers me.

Despite being a politician, Fauci sees himself as a scientist and a way to deflate his massive ego is to label him as a crooked scientist, who will lie to support a fake result.
Fauci is also responsible for ruining our economy having businesses shut down for 1+ years. Prices soared afterwards in order to recoup monies lost during that time.

Rolling around in the streets and the CCP had big trucks spraying people down. It was so over the top.

The same people idolizing this mass murderer are the same ones unironically wearing Che Guevara shirts.

There are no animals - bats - at the wet market anyway. In China, a 'wet market' is a seafood market.
