I knew we loss the Bush clan when George H. Bush looked at us and said - Read my lips, NO NEW TAXES. Then......
This was followed by Geoge W. Bush's "Compassionate Conservatism" absurdity.
Then there was that Bush II TARP fiasco to bail out the banks and lending institutions from near collapse brought on by Bill Clintons "Mortgage Loans for Minoriites" debacle.
There can be no compromise when it comes to real conservatism - you're either conservative or you're not.
The Bush clan sold out.

I am sorry to say that I supported and voted for both of those pieces of crap. More taxes, more unnecessary wars in the Middle East, and the Patriot Act.

When I find a “Real” conservative that will do half as much for protecting our border and enforcing immigration laws as Trump, maybe I will vote for them.

I never voted for a Bush. I wasn’t old enough to vote when any Bush was on the ballot outside the 2016 primary.

H.W. Bush vs. Dukakis or Clinton.
W Bush vs. Algore or John Kerry.
Seemed like no-brainers all 4 times.
Do I regret voting for the Bush clan? Yep.
Do I wish I had voted for the Dem instead? Hell no.
Looking back, do I regret even more this country having such shite choices to begin with? Without a doubt.

The only real conservatives I can think of ATM off the top of my head, is Mike Lee and he is MAGA.
The Bush and Romney era claimed compassionate conservatisim: under the guise of really being uniparty democrats.
Social conservatism is no longer applicable, as abortion is states rights and gays can marry. LGBTQ and Caitlyn are accepted. Gender changing children is a crime and has been called out. Drag queens swinging their dicks at children is also a crime.
So 'principled conservatism' was a crock of shite, and is now Mike Lee MAGA.
