No.
The "phase" began long ago and your side led us all here. We knew it. The history of this bullsh!t war was debated here and elsewhere long ago. You do not get a f@cking...

I mean, realistically, how did you expect this to play out? We've been poking the bear for years, did you expect Putin to just say, "oh, nevermind" and leave?

I don’t know why you’re getting downvoted. It’s an admirable thing to admit you’ve changed your mind.

I also think it’s a reasonable take.

I believe in the rules based international order and our place in it.

Look at tyrants who have been appeased in the past. It never goes well.

Just because I don’t want to escalate the conflict doesn’t mean we shouldn’t still support Ukraine or seek to discourage Putin from bullying Europe.

The suggestion that we would/should park a nuke on Russia's front door is idiotic.

I like it.

That is extremely crazy. The good news is that it is currently against the law for the USA to export nuclear weapons. Biden can't give Ukraine nukes by EO. It would take Congress passing a bill and Biden signing it into law before he leaves office. That will not happen. Even if it for some reason did happen then it would take so long that Trump would be able to take office and stop it before Ukraine actually received any warheads.

This isn’t true at all

Egypt went to war with Israel 4 times in like 20 years, then Israel gave them land and we brokered a deal (where we give money to Egypt every year, which I doubt most people are aware of. Egypt is like 2nd or 3rd in our foreign aid list), and now they have had peace since the 1970s

We appease the tyrannical Saudi Arabian government all the time and assist them in their wars with their neighbors, and that relationship works for us (other than the whole 9/11 thing)

It worked for us with Saddam Hussein, until we decided to flip on him later down the road

We supported Pinochet in Chile, and that worked out well for the whole region

In fact, what you are obviously alluding to is Hitler and Chamberlain, which has just become normie dogma at this point for the consequences of appeasement, but this is flawed thinking and really should maybe be considered more of an outlier than the standard norm.

Putin isn’t invading Europe. It isn’t going to happen

Yeah, it's quite an escalation to use ATACMs to hit a division of North Korean troops and a Russian military air field.

Those nukes were disassembled and used for reactor fuel or given to Russia.

An old engineer friend knew a couple of American engineers who helped with the disassembly.

This is the only way he can force Trump to not cut off funding for Ukraine. It’s F’d up but then again it’s Pedo Joe doing this. I wonder if his handlers is for or against this escalation

There’s a recent Patrick Bet David podcast where he interviews Mike Benz. The last 30-40 minutes he breaks down in detail what this is all about.

This has been what the Dems have been playing at all along. Anyone who was ever supporting the "conflict in Ukraine" was completely wrong.

Talk about escalation - for the first time in history US and British missiles were launched into Russian land.

And don’t think this is “Ukraine” launching them. US and British controls were used, locations decided, satellites, etc. the Ukrainian’s just pushed the button.

The Biden admin is playing with fire.

In response to the launches into Russia. Russia responded with test weapons. Super sonic 1200kph similar to “rods of god” with no payload just tungsten tipped. 6 drops of 6 missiles each for a total of 36. Russian intelligence says they went hundreds of feet into the surface of the earth. Huge warning of don’t frick with us from the Russians to all leaders around the world. Doesn’t matter if you are in a bunker or whatever we can kill you.

And the US has no ability to shoot them down. We better stop playing in this sandlot. Strike a peace deal. Russia will not negotiate and give up any of the region they have taken. The will divide Ukraine into 3 parts. Russian ethnic part that they are in control of now to Russia. “Ukraine” will be a moderate friendly to Russia country. The far western part will be split between three countries, Hungary, Poland, and Moldova. A buffer zone between NATO and Ukraine.
