We aren’t good nor bad. We are an average SEC probably will be around the bubble come selection time.

Actually thought Steven coached it pretty well today but as we have said this team has many defensive flaws.

Overton Hall and Murphy are going to take a lot of shots. That’s why they choose to come here. Overton to be more than a defender, Murphy to show he can stretch the floor, and Hall is a volume shooter anyway. Some days he will carry us to wins some days he will take us to losses.

Need SWA Jovic Walker and Magwood to really step up become great at the things they do well and improve what they do poorly. They are the core going forward. Obviously we will add pieces and Freeman might be a guy that hangs around and becomes a better decision maker with the ball in his hand. He has elite potential. Needs to become a great defender. He’s already decent. Probably could hold 15-20 more pounds on his frame

Can’t say even with selfish play at times that this team doesn’t play hard.

We could afford either Hall or CBM with what we had to pay for Haad. Murphy was a must get for any inside presence. Magwood/SWA cost a typical high 4 star money.

This team needs just an average defender at PG and a good shot blocker and the defense would look entirely different. We don’t have that so dribble drives are gonna hurt all year. So we have to play a lot of drop defense therefore opening up some 3’s. Catch-22 either defend the lane/rim or defend the 3. We can’t do both.

It happened just a few weeks ago. UGA destroyed them as well score just didn’t show the beat down as much.

Bro they are going to negative recruit against us anyway. Same as we should be against other teams.

I thought relationships matter but they don’t it’s all about money. Who gives the most or the best package over a year or 2 gets the player.

We can still be a friendly nice university and town but catering to these kids outside of what they can do for Auburn University on the football field then frick ‘em. Like I said don’t care about players anymore just gonna cheer for the name on the front of the jersey and logo on the helmet.

I think former players that bled sweat and cried over the program have the right to whatever opinion they want.

I think the entire system is broken. Is Auburn a football factory or a University of higher learning with a great football program. That’s the decision only Auburn can make.

It’s a good thought and would possibly mean something to players and endearing to the fans but th old saying still applies…

Some guys in the portal might come back. I’m pretty sure Simmons probably burned his bridge. Lew isn’t in the portal but in the draft and coming off an injury he may not like where he is on draft boards. So who knows but we are going to be close to 40-50 new players on the roster. It is what it is.

At least it’s getting close to time we can add some players and not just lose them. So getting some of these kids back out of the portal and then getting some talented players that can come in work hard and produce at an SEC level is what will set the tone for next season.
