I think we have MLB balls being used in the tournament stamped as college balls. Lots of HRs

Pro balls are harder with higher compression then college baseballs
I’m surprised they did anything. Guess Moody the defending champions spoke up but recruiting has been going on since early Probst days at Hoover
Wonder what that means for Baroc Willis? His move from edge to linebacker hasn’t been a great move from him in my opinion
High school recruiting - Jake Ganus new Pell City coach suspended for season, all players ineligible for Pell City but can play in their school district. He took all the talent with him from Moody.

Should lock us in as a top 5 RPI team regardless of what happens

We are coming full circle. Lots of "he is under rated at 3*" I miss in the early Harsin days.

Or maybe like the Tuberville days when we would sign 4-5 2stars each cycle
True and remember the portal was open while we were in the elite 8 and Final 4. So hard to negotiate while all that was going on

I agree. I would love to win the SEC tournament but not at the expense of arms. 2 wins probably locks us in at the 3 seed unless UTx makes a deep run. Could possibly jump GT if we beat an A&M or such

If you make it to Omaha and win a couple games to open the tournament are you throwing Sanders or Cormier as the 4th starter?

If I were the head guy I’d consider Cormier hard but Sanders starting experience might push me to go with him but Cormier has been lights out in that long middle relief role
Well Bruce thought he was gonna get Yaxel for $1m. Wasn’t gonna happen. Which he is not an elite defender but wears on bigs trying to guard him so just kind anchors the post some. Oporum of however it’s spelled was supposed to be a 6-7 minute a game guy and our 6’9” euro PF turned out to be 6’6”.

Maybe Bruce got a hair lazy but Overton, Hall, and Murphy were massive pickups in the portal just team never learned to play together when we needed a bucket was a terrible defense based on Auburn basketball expectations.

Well Brandon for us at SS is probably a natural 2nd baseman. He has the frame for SS but I want him to put on about 10-12 pounds each of the next 2 offseasons. A 2B with size, good arm, will hit for average and some power as his body matures.

Not looking ahead to next season but if Rembert goes pro we need and elite defender for middle infield. Maybe a freshman can do it. Center fielder that hits for average and can steal bases. 1B with good glove work and power. We need a 20+ HR guy.

Obviously we will get some incoming freshman but probably need a couple transfer pitchers. No telling what happens to the arms with the portal. Some of our middle guys like Cormier can start for most teams. So gonna have to pony up for him.

Back up to number 3.

We are definitely staying top 8 no matter what happens at the SEC tourney.

Win 2 and you are a lock for a top 4 seed.

1 and done depending on the opponent could drop to around 6-7. If it was Missouri, LSU, Vandy, or South Carolina
Now we are ready to roll.

I would guess this is fringe sweet 16 team. All depends on how well they play together as a team.

We fell to number 5 in RPI.
