i see this almost daily on how the DEMS run major cities in to the ground and how badly DEM run states are. Can i get some shining examples of how well the GOP does this? I find the hypocrisy of these statements to be hilarious.

You started the thread. How about YOU provide the examples, and it's "run," not "ran."

I don't think there are many major cities which are GOP run simply b/c of the fundamentals of what make up a large city, but there are thousands of charming towns and villages all across the South and Midwest and Mountain West that are GOP run.

Do your own research..

We know that Dem strongholds like Detroit are a beacon of mediocrity.

Republicans in Mississippi are spearheading an educational turnaround that is near miracle level.

Guiliani completely changed NYC for the better as mayor.

Benton, La. The place is growing like wildfire because it's full of republicans.

I'd say start with suburban area crime rates and test scores.

May take a little elbow grease, but you can do it.

The Woodlands, TX.
Katy, TX

Look at any major city, and you can find GOP cities on the outskirts with good schools, low crime, and conservative politics.

In Texas, all of the suburbs of Dallas are entirely republican and killing right now.

Dallas itself.... ehhh.

We are doing well. But still to much good ol' boy for my liking. Police Jury, CBB, etc need more good governance and less good ol'boy.

CBB is certainly an issue. But it's too much govt. power, a left wing tendency.
When I called them about raising my taxes:
Me: 'When did that vote come up?'
Them: 'It didn't. The board just decided it.'

They don't realize that they can't get away with this kind of stuff anymore. The board is in for a painful few years with the 35 to 45 year old crowd not laying down for this kind of stuff. Meetings are now going to be videotaped and public along with transcripts. Its going to be lawsuit after lawsuit and nasty open meeting after nasty open meeting.
