Both distributions are bell curves. Back in the day when the average was centered on 121 you had to go a ways to get down to the people on the lower end of the day.
Now you don't have to go far at all to get to the below average people.
The higher end probably has a longer tail so there are a lot of people in the 90's in college.
would be interesting to see the medians of each

If they started letting everyone into the NBA, the average height of an nba player would get shorter.

How much of this is certain graduate degrees being worthless and getting candidates in line with the quality of education?
And I specifically mean education to a degree because adult education tends to be the easiest way to get a grad degree in something worthless.

Credentialed, not educated.

SFP has averaged over 60 posts a day, 365.25 days a year, for about the last 24 years. It's not a wonder people think of him when subject of lower IQs arise. SFP should have his own board so he can argue with himself. Occasionally AllterEd can join his board for our entertainment.
BTW, AlterEd and BoarEd must have also been put in timeout.

Open admissions, not requiring standardized tests because racism, etc will do that.
Not everyone is meant to be a scholar. We need plumbers, brick layers, electricians, etc.

You mean education regressed to the mean as soon as it was available to the population at large? This isn't exactly a meaningful insight.

There are more women than ever in higher education. We know more women (than men) are in the middle of the IQ bell curve and don’t congregate at the top. There are more men at the top of the IQ bell curve than women. Men are more exceptional than women at the extremes. Maybe women are pulling down the IQ college averages? Maybe there are more BS higher education programs. These programs are less rigorous.

Everyone goes to college now.
Back then, you had to be somewhat exceptional to do so.
The average right at the population average is not surprising at all.

Oh really? I had no idea. Now that you mention it, I have noticed a much better experience on the board recently.
You probably didn’t notice bc he still gets brought up in every thread by his fan boys.

Idk man, I’m all the way back to 2013 and I haven’t come across a single racial thread I’ve started on this website.
Maybe one if you include my “why does Trump keep pardoning rappers” thread in 2022
