Overthrowing the government is 100% illegal. You can try it but you better win, else you likely forfeit your life.
I dunno, we have a couple folks running around right now that tried just this and i bet none of the major players ever see a day in prison much less the gallows.

then we have to also take “well regulated” militia at face value, as well.

This has always been the best argument for responsible (see: common sense) gun control.
Perhaps it has been the "best" argument, but it is still a very, very weak one when you read what the framers wrote at the same time in their notes and to one another. Couple their contemporaneous writings with what private citizens at the time owned, and your argument falls flat on its face.
The founders knew in the very fiber of their being that the only way to keep a tyrannical government at bay was for it to fear the governed, not the other way around.

True.
It means what we agree it means.

A big piece of the 2nd Amendment was due to how England tried to control the colonies - it’s to protect against a corrupt or tyrannical government. Sadly this has been a massive failure because our government knows not a soul on here will use their guns today to stop tyranny or corruption. Nobody is scared of your guns. Hell, Democrats are the ones stacking bodies these days while Conservatives whine and cry on internet chat forums.

And to the east of Birmingham, there is an outfit that rents tanks to individuals.
Think the billboard reads “experience driving a tank.” Definitely not an Abrams.

You can buy a tank.
You always have been able to.

“well regulated.”
"Well regulated" and "militia", in context of the late 18th Century, meant that the militia units drilled and practiced regularly so they could function as a unit.
It wasn't specifying a requirement, it was explaining just what the hell they meant by "militia". A group of citizens ready, willing and able to defend themselves and their community.
Period. Full stop.

Stupid liberals like you always go to the most extreme, absurd argument, and you think it's a valid point

I've always been happy to see the Left completely whiff on attacking the 2nd A. "Arms", not "guns". Can you breed an anthrax colony in your garage? Maybe whip up some sarin gas at the duck camp? Of course not. So we do accept some regulation. But they insist on an absolutist attack and we keep winning

A liberal fig like RFK sees "well regulated" and gets excited at the thought of more government control.

Uh dude...
You can.
You live in your own retarded head with your wife who thinks women have penises.

Maybe this is a moot point. If there was a need to overthrow the modern government, there’s no way personal arms can reasonably counter the modern DoD.
You completely have no idea, its laughable that you dont get it.

The second amendment is part of the first 10
The first ten are specific to individuals -and are called the bill of rights
These amendments don't give us that right -we have those rights already
It simply gives examples of the rights people have inherently and is not all inclusive
There is no question about 'regulation' as you imply -Shall Not be Infringed
