What? DGAC, TCCA and CASA are all government organizations. What are you talking about?

Well, yeah. Lots of budgets have been passed. There was a budget for 1953, for example.

What hasn't been passed is a federal budget for FY2024 (which begins October 1st).

Less government is always the answer. If we can’t have that then non-functioning government is the next best thing.

I’ll add the following.

The FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SHOULD NOT be one of the major employers in this country.

There are TOO MANY of you Federal Employees.

The govt was not intended to be as bloated and fat as is it currently stands.

Waste, redundancy, bureaucracy that is what you get with a govt as big and having its tentacles in so much that should be left to the private sector to handle.

As it relates to air traffic controllers. Yes, I believe your industry is vital to air travel. However, I believe a private solution would be more cost efficient and honestly with the new hiring standards placing race, color, creed, sexual orientation as a credo we are going to be more dangerous than ever flying.

A private enterprise without those dictates would do it cheaper, more efficient, and probably hire the best as opposed to one that checks a box.

They would probably also faze out a lot of the human element with AI and other tech advances that make the human element obsolete.

Honestly, now that I think about it with the technology the way it is, air traffic control seems like the perfect industry to be completely automated. No chance for human error, human strikes, human emotions etc.

So yeahI feel for you. But I don’t really feel for you.

I would be fine with just suspending the Congressional session and not pay any elected federal employee.

Ok, I get that. But tell me why you aren’t asking the right question. How is it ok to stop paying American federal workers, but still pay Ukraine? Tell me how every single American isn’t up in Arms about this

It is a total waste of money to shutdown the government. Unfortunately, the current brand of “conservatives” don’t believe in functional government, and once elected, only serve to degrade it.

There will be millions of hard working Americans (yes there are millions of hard working government employees that provide important services to the nation everyday) going without pay for an undetermined amount of time, because stupid people have elected stupid leaders.

Would you be okay going to work for months with no pay? You’re lying if you say yes.

I'd have no problem at all. I KNOW I'm getting paid in a few months and I have savings to make that work with no problem.
A person on minimum wage couldn't do it. But if you're an ATC then you should have 6 months cash handy. If you don't, then you're stupid (like I said in prior post).

It has nothing to do with me breathing, eating, using the bathroom local government or septic tank, or my freedom.

All they do is claim they
Protect our freedoms while taking them away.
Make it harder and more expensive to eat, breathe, and use the bathroom.
Put more regulations on me.

They give all our tax dollars away to everyone, but America.

I am good with the government shutting down.

At some point the government will have to set a budget and stay under that budget...like every other business on the planet has to do. If they want to put monies out there from grants, then it needs to be pulled from somewhere else.

Monies set aside for dumbass studies such as:

- Maryland's study of Pigeon Casinos
- Florida's transgender Monkey study
- California Crow surveillance study
- California Toilet Cams study
- NSA $3.6 million garage that never gets used
- Hummingbird's on cocaines study

And that's just the stupid shite I have heard of recently.

SO just extend the current spending will not be a waste of money? The current brand of conservatives do believe in functional government. The current government however is not functional. What you just posted is complete and total toilet paper.

When is the last time there was a budget surplus, and how was it achieved?

This tantrum by the GOP clowns isn’t going to achieve anything, and it’s going to cost the US more to do it.

Also this, posted above by one of your own, is probably more representative of current “conservatives” than what you suggested.

Do you think our current budget is a surplus? You are living in a alternate universe where unicorns and puff the magic dragon poops out money to pay for everything. In this universe when you over spend you go broke. This group of conservatives are putting their foot down and saying enough. It has to stop now!!!

No. I asked you when was the last time and he was it achieved to lead you in a particular direction. You should read more thoroughly.

To provide 1st hand evidence to voters showing the huge expenditures that are wasted and which are essential. For example, You and I know that the dept of education is redundant. 85,000 new IRS employees are waste. There are many in the Dept. of energy and DOT who are just there to party and grift. The border patrol is being paid to assist on flooding the country with an anonymous aliens who do not contribute and flood in with fentanyl and human trafficking, gangs, crime, etc. ON AND ON. Unless the government program creates new wealth, shut it off

I believe it was during Bush Jr era but cannot remember exactly. Either way we are at the point that a surplus is almost impossible because of the interest on our debt. Major changes have to made ASAP. One way to start is shoot down the proposed budget as the group of conservatives are doing.
