About the time that they weeded out the intelligent and inspired by demanding Master's Degrees to teach elementary mathematics and set the pay at $50,000/year.

Substitute sounded like a dumbass. I know, I know...the inventory of substitute teachers with more than 2 brain cells is at an all time low.

I got one of those flags in the mail the other day from a LEO charity to which I contribute. I had no intention of placing it on my truck...until now.

Story time...25+yrs ago I'm finishing up my classes in Ed....room full of cackling women talking about the feeling of kids and making class 'FUN" for kids....not a damn thing about learning or educating....."fun"

Substitute teacher, just have his license revoked. Totally unacceptable interaction between teacher and student. If a regular teacher, same outcome. Purge the ranks of teachers who lack the ability to appropriately interact with students on curricula matters only. Where do these bastards get off?

I've noticed that most of these cases involve teachers K-8, not HS. The difference in intelligence is huge between the two.
K-8 teachers don't have a major in college. It's just 'elementary educ'. That involves mastering two concepts:
a. Always bring extra donuts for snacks before and after lunch break.
b. Always bring a cushion to put on your wooden teacher's chair.
HS requires a major in the subject you teach so they are generally smarter.

This trash is not new.
In the 70's Auburn was part of an exchange program. I had two of those professors.
English 102. I had made an "A" in 101. Professor comes in and announces. "All athletes stand please. Get out, I don't teach athletes." Then announces "All ROTC stand please. Get out, I don't teach baby killers."
We are now down to eleven in the class. She has each person and introduce themselves. I'm thinking, I am in deep shite ....
My turn. "I graduated High School in Tokyo, my father is in the Air Force." Doomed ...."He's a baby killer?" "He was in Viet Nam. Didn't kill any babies though." No good I'm dead meat .....
First essay "D", no reason just "D" nothing else returned ...Mid terms coming ....Handbook says 1/2 of everything turned in must be returned .... I got my head bit off when I asked about the three other essays ...
Went straight to Dean's office and stated my concern. He called her. She says "I don't have time." I went back the following day. Dean says "She has until tomorrow to get me all of your work. Friday that week I get a call to report to the Dean. This witch has trouble brewing ... Dean tells me, I've seen your work. I disagree with what she has graded. You have a choice, take a "B" because I can't give and "A" or try to finish the class as is." "You mean I get out and don't go back and will receive a B?" "Yes" "I'll take the grade." Dean says by the way.....based on all the concern by the Athletic Department and the ROTC ....she'll be going back to Michigan at the end of the quarter."
