You may have the worst perspective of anyone on this board.
He's spot on. Imagine if fans started turning off tv's and stopped going to the games. Exactly how do you think these players get paid? The players need the fans more than the fans need the players.
How about some perspective. How would your life change if there wasn't any professional sports? How would the professional athlete's change?

All of these threads on this board started by people uncomfortable with this protest, and you're ignoring every one?
You must have your special blinders on this week.

What are you basing that claim on?
Pictures?

It's simple for me. When you stand you acknowledge the greatness of America and the protections and opportunities that come in the greatest country. Any non mouth breather knows that the act of standing doesn't mean you believe all is perfect in our country.
When you kneel you are stating that you are ashamed of the country. You are directly stating that you feel that there is more wrong than right in our country. By doing this you are negating all of the heroic acts that have occurred to take us from a colony to where we are now.
It's simple really. You kneel and you are ashamed of the flag. You kneel and you are ashamed of America. There are many other avenues that could address your concerns. You kneel and you are too lazy to seek real change and just want attention.

Commenting about things doesn't mean you're necessarily uncomfortable with it. Being uncomfortable means losing sleep, wasting time, over something. I sleep quite well at night.

Yes. Dumbass.
Listen to interviews on ESPN radio and search. You will almost always hear them plug foundations or charities at the end of the interviews. I'm sure you won't give them credit for appearances at charity golf tournaments. Then of course there's the multiple commercials that are shot on their own time.

Every player? You have seen pictures of every player donating CONSIDERABLE time?
I'm not sure why you are pivoting to radio when you said pictures but you seem upset so I'll alow it.
We can change the discussion from seeing pictures of every player to hearing interviews of every player if you want.
Dumbass? You sure you have that right? I'm not so sure. You can lash out though. I understand your need to vent. Temper tantrums are effective for release of frustrations.

Military folks and affiliates have been way off-base on this. All this talk about the national anthem but not a peep about people waving around a confederate flag. The flag under which a war was fought against the stars and stripes.

Look, here is a spot that you can rent an NFL player to show up at your Childhood Cancer Charity Golf tournament.

Tim Tebow, George W Bush and others have spoken at a local private Christian School of the last several years.
None of them did it for free. Most of these athletes don't do much for free.

This narrative of goodwill that the progs are trying to create regarding athletes and celebrities in general is pretty funny.
