No, it would be a success if people were actually talking about what they are protesting. I think most people have no idea what the nfl is protesting.

Give it time. It will spread to college football next.

Disrespecting our flag dumbass. WTF do you people come from?

Ah now, don't lose it. I know its a sensitive issue, however, a flag is an inanimate object which cannot feel disrespect. The problem is not the flag, but your absolute intolerance of those who don't act exactly how you want them to act, in this instance. I'm simply trying to help you understand that your anger is irrational. You are only hurting yourself with your hatred of them.

Irrational? People of all races have fought, bled, and died for our flag. Ignorance is not a virtue Big12fan. Symbols are important. Our nation's flag is important and these morons are insulting it. I take offense and so do millions of other Americans.

You sure about that? Without fans, who do they play for and how are they paid?

I would suggest that I owe them nothing of value that can't be replaced with another form of entertainment.

Most of them owe the fans most of everything.

Without fans there is no NFL: T or F
Without the NFL there is no entertainment: T or F

I have some suggestions for you while you are in the 904 if you really want to do something to help end the oppression.

I donate to OneJax
"OneJax is a nonprofit organization that seeks to promote diversity as the foundation for a strong community." My buddy's mom heads that group, used to pres of the school board. Also the sulzbacher center... I'm legit semi interested to hear your suggestions though. Not a lot of places in between the swamp and gator bowl in the 352, so i go with where i grew up in jax.

I'll look into OneJax.

Sulzbacher center is a good one. There's a women's shelter nearby there that's good too but they don't really want male volunteers there so I just give goods to them. The Hubbard House.

Getting the supplies is tricky as you have to call first and get on a list. You can't just show up and drop off stuff.

City Rescue Mission is nice if you are into the homeless issue.

A really interesting one is Safe Harbor. They are a boys home and use boats/boating as their tool to help those kids. A friend of mine is the asst director there. It's off Heckscher Dr.

Welcome back to the 904. Please don't mind the mess. Irma was a bitch to us here.

Really wish this country would stop pretending that we support the troops.

"supporting the troops" is about supporting the culture of militarism. If we actually supported the troops the VA system wouldn't be absolute shite and veteran's wouldn't be killing themselves at 2x the rate of the general population.

Because those things are too difficult we just focus on things like thanking a vet or buying wounded warrior brand snickers bars.
