They can protest all they want on their own time, the people that bought tickets to sit in the stands didn't do so to watch a protest.

The anthem isn't played during the game.

Anyone who has served remembers this everyday. Folks talking about disrespecting military when I saw this twice a day is sweet comedy.

I remember the stacks of people at the door waiting for colors to end, too.

They're disrespecting our military!!!

It is in the stadium, it is a expected part of the event, protests are not.

So it's on the players own time, glad we cleared that up.

I have not followed this thread at all, but are you making the assertion that if he came hasn't started that's the players aren't working? You don't think they have other work obligations. Like practice? Or say being on the field before kick off?

I think he's saying, correctly, that buying a ticket to watch the game doesn't give you a say over the players actions, particularly outside of that game.

I agree. Even during the game a ticket holder has no say over what a player does. Now, they do have a right to not participate in buying tickets for whatever reason they want. They do have a right to boycott and can attempt to tell the owners or press why they are boycotting. Rational or not. The left is absolutely apoplectic over that.

Sure, but this is what he responded to:

So, if no one buys a ticket to the game, do the players still have a job. Probably not. So, I would say they have just a little say.

Are you going to answer this, since you say you give such honest and straightforward answers?
