All this talk about the national anthem but not a peep about people waving around a confederate flag.
Did these people refuse to stand for the national anthem out of protest? If they did that, then you have a damn fine point, if they did not...well you are nuts.

So raising arms against America is ok but not standing is an abomination.

You didnt tell me that these people were an armed militia. I thought they were just owning a flag of a non existent place. No different than a flag of Mexico over a Taco stand...you know, those guys fought us too. Does that bother you too, the Mexican flag? I bet it does.

Post for us where the 1st amendment grants protection from a private employer restricting a employees freedom of speech or ability to protest.

Tim Tebow, George W Bush and others have spoken at a local private Christian School of the last several years.

None of them did it for free. Most of these athletes don't do much for free.

Both Tebow and Bush have foundations and do work for charities. Not sure what the deal is with this local school, but was there any "charity" part of their appearance? And speaker fees for schools are usually donated by the speaker anyway.

Small Christian school. Part of their annual fundraiser.

By your logic, waiving the Confederate (or Mexican) flag shows support of the soldiers and rebellion who killed a lot of American troops. Seems like that is pretty damn disrespectful towards the troops of the United States.

How can you walk around and not pick up a little on life going on around you? You seem to need a link for every little thing. Why don't you tell me something about this local school event that Tebow and Bush speak at so I know you aren't completely pulling stuff out of your arse.

Small Christian SChool on the Southside of Jacksonville florida in an area called Mandarin. It's not far from Wing it, Publix, CVS, Winn-Dixie, McDonalds, BP, Lowes. They are getting a new fieldhouse in a couple of years. The last fundraiser set aside money for that fieldhouse. They have a pretty good baseball team and football team for their size but would get crushed by Bolles.

Now, kindly, piss off.

It could. And if those people chose not to honor and show loyalty to the American flag, making their Confederate cause the focal point, I would think they needed to be treated to public shame.

If they are doing it as part of the heritage, and still honored American culture and traditions it has no bearing on their current allegiance. This goes for the German, the Mexican, the French, the Japanese, and the Confederate flag. I also have no problem with Native American culture and their symbols.

No, it would be a success if people were actually talking about what they are protesting. I think most people have no idea what the nfl is protesting.

Give it time. It will spread to college football next.

Look, here is a spot that you can rent an NFL player to show up at your Childhood Cancer Charity Golf tournament.

I would assume this is outside the time already required contractually, is it not? And let ius not forget, the player is not required to do charity work unless he agrees to the admendment in his service contract.

I would also assume the costs cover travel and stay for the athlete, do they not?

Oddly enough the Confederate crowd is the most likely to balk at someone flying a Mexican flag over their house in America.
