I'm really surprised that the appeals court ruled this way.
If she filed her federal returns, and filed the state returns on the years around these two, then it's real weird that she would not file those two.
Also, they could call any CPA in the state as an expert witness, and hear about how LDR loses returns and misapplies payments, or loses payments, all the time.

HMMM I didn't know this.
It's also possible LDR thought they were both 2015 returns, and threw one (the 2016) away. I've seen that.

Just because one Democrat is "better" than another doesn't mean they are good for your (purportedly) conservative interest. There are no "moderate democrats" no matter how much you want to believe they exists.
This is the same mindset that got JBE elected...twice...in a state that is otherwise deep red overall. The legislature is OVERWHELMINGLY Republican. Yet, their hands are in large part tied because those SAME people that made the legislature deep red also got duped...twice...into thing JBE is a "moderate democrat."

or you could be realistic and understand that the numbers don't work for a deep red republican to win a mayoral election in BR

I don’t need to drive anywhere. I can look out my window.The ditch next to my office is half silted up and the weeds are ten foot tall.
But the local stations would have you think Broome is going her job. The tv campaign is real, the reports are phoney and orchestrated.

In the same, not all "Republicans" are conservatives. So throw your money at Jordan Piazza because he has an R next to his name, but don't complain when his administration (purely hypothetical because he has no chance) is far from conservative.

Or you could do some research and see that a good conservative candidate who can get a large turnout from his/her base css as n win. Broome is vulnerable even though big downtown money is behind her. She’s lost her pta image.

I was at Albertsons and swb was in front of me in line. She had a cart full of cookies and steaks and shrimp. She pulled out a card that said “Louisiana purchase” on it (I guess it must be some card that politicians get when they buy groceries for government stuff)
The cashier was scanning her groceries and said “ooh honey you short”. Turns out she was short 40 bucks so I happily paid that 40 and she paid the other $700. anything I can do to help a hardworking civil servant
