Republicans need to be 100% behind Matt Watson to keep C. Denise Marcel or Broome from completely destroying Baton Rouge.

This is fricking sad. Not her being disqualified or not.. The fact there are two stories reporting the exact opposite.

Though Pierson represents Broome in her battle against St. George, she says she did not get involved in the Wicker appellate suit at the request of the mayor or anyone connected with her administration.

That’s not what was reported earlier.

I would love to really get behind Watson. Does anyone know what he’s doing to win? I haven’t seen anything from his camp. But it is COVID season and traditional campaigning might not be happening.
I do see Broome finally trying to do her job. She’s got an all out tv campaign underway. After three and a half years of nothing she’s killing weeds, cleaning ditches, fighting disease, building sidewalks and filling up local news every chance she can get.

Wowwwwwwww

Wicker was the only Dem that had a chance of winning. She had support from both sides.

This is some dirty shite SWB is pulling.

Love that our candidates in Baton Rouge include a no tax paying loudmouth bitch that should be on the real housewives of Atlanta.

I was voting Wicker because I felt Watson was a snake who doesn't even own property in EBRP (he doesn't). I guess I will pinch my nose and vote for him anyway.

Wicker isn’t taking it lying down. She has a presser set for 2:30PM.

If she goes down, I have a feeling she will try to take SWB with her.

Yeah I was between Watson and Wicker, but now it's Watson by default as of right now. Wicker had a lot of crossover support from Republican donors. Watson HAS to win them over.

I honestly don't give a shite where he lives. He's getting my vote.

Watson is divorced, and has kids. Maybe he doesn't want to commit to buying a house as a single guy?

Yes. he may come across as corny or contrived, but I"ve gotten to know him as my councilman. I believe he really means well. He has done a lot to move along little projects that fly beneath the radar in our district

Let’s say Wicker did file her taxes, and it was “not received” or “went missing” by the Dept of Rev.

THEN, they need to launch an investigation if there’s a SWB “insider” that “blindly” loose or look over a potential candidates paperwork....basically sabotage

But he's ready to commit to leading the parish? C'mon man. I'm going to vote for him anyway, but the point remains.

Honestly, I don’t think someone hid them. I think LDR most or misfiled them because it has happened way too many times in the past.

Her filing 2015 and 2016 together tells me they may have fricked up and treated 2016 as an attachment to the 2015 return.
