I don'know if this one got posted in the suffle:
The Aussies were actually pretty big in all of this. They more than pulled their weight. Unfortunately, those refugees who got evaced there will have less freedom than they did in Afghanistan.

Peter Dutton confirms Australian evacuation mission from Kabul is over in the wake of the terrorist attack. All troops + officials flew out yesterday (before the blast?) and are in the UAE. Will US/UK still fly Aust visa holders out in their final hours on the ground? Not clear

So our troops and people are now hostages.

We can't fault other countries for leaving before us. This situation we are in has led to US troops being the bulk of airport security. Without the US, the others don't stand a chance.
Maybe the biggest blunder in all of this was the Biden Administration (including the man himself) promising G7 allies that he would extend the August 31 deadline, only to "change his mind" 12 hours later in a meeting with them.
That action completely changed the tone of this operation in regards to "The Coalition". Not that it wasn't a complete and total shitshow prior, but the tone of all involved changed after that.
That foreign policy blunder will leave quite the scar going forward.

My question to @PressSec today as she ran off the podium: “Does Biden regret having SecDef Austin focus on “extremism” in the military and Milley focus on “white rage” instead of both focusing on getting Americans out of Afghanistan safely?”
My crush on Emerald grows stronger by the day.

When did this happen? I know he was under intense pressure from many members of congress and G7 allies to extend, but never heard he promised G7 allies that he would do that.

If they even let them in country

This is a horrible day in American history. 11 marines killed, probably more to come. 20 years of lives lost, to go out like this. We thought enough was enough, but this consequential, useless, traitor Biden just cost hundreds of people pains and suffering they didn’t deserve.
I hate him.
I hate him.

The State Department leaked two nights ago that Biden was going to extend the deadline. It was reported by quite a few sources. Biden slept on it, talked it over with the good doctor Jill, and decided nah....frick them. He dropped that bomb on them in the meeting. Then, he delayed his "address" yesterday by like 5 hours so they could get their talking points in order and the latest list of pre-approved questions sent out.
And spare me the "that's just rumor" shite. Other countries came out the night before and said they had been assured the deadline would be extended. They were legit blindsided by it in the virtual G7 meeting.

Afghan boy saluting our troops last night.

Finally caught up. shite day at work. Clearly shittier day in the world.
1. Frick Biden.
2. This is completely on him publicly, but I think we all know it’s on people behind the scenes. He’s not in control of anything.
3. He’s not going to resign.
4. Nobody in congress will do anything of substance about it.
5. OML are you going to DC tomorrow?
Bout sums up the day.
One more time for good measure, frick Biden and everyone who actually voted for him. You own this disaster too.

So this is how it goes down with our allies now? I feel that we’re watching world history events happen in real time. How will these events be told in 25 years? The narrative has yet to be revealed.

I’m actively considering flying there for 9/11 if Biden is not out of office. I’ll need to convince a friend to go with me, one with no kids (although if they go on their own with no coercion from me I’ll join them), since things on the ground I fear may get dangerous. If anyone does anything violent, I’m going in the other direction. If I can’t find any friend to go with me then I’ll protest in my city. And to posters I’m sure who will join me, I don’t trust you because you could be FBI and frame me for a violent crime that I will not commit, so another poster’s security isn’t going to do. Won’t buy a ticket until September 1st. Regardless I’m peacefully protesting somewhere on 9/11.

This is some unbelievable shite going on. Now they even sent us off with a parting gift. Bom attack killing 12 marines all because of the actions of our dumbfrick president.

I'd consider going with you and I'm not FBI but I understand your stance. I had friends try to get me to go to the capitol. I declined and I'm glad I did.

They want us out of the country and this bombing could only serve to antagonize us back in.
See he is where your missing the point. We are leaving. Period full stop. Unless the Taliban kidnap and mutilate Biden’s crackhead kid we aren’t going back in. That is 100% certain an administration that openly leaves Americans to be slaughtered and blames them for their own slaughter instead of their botched exit is not going to reignite the war.
So the goal of America leaving has been obtained. Now the question is what’s best for the Taliban given that this administration is tucking tail regardless of what happens?
Answer - humiliate the Americans, demoralize our troops, and diminish our world standing (especially given China is likely calling a lot of the Taliban shots). How? Blow up Americans and leave juuust enough doubt as to who is doing it.
That’s the reality.

Why do you people not trust Psaki to circle back around?
She cares for us. She cares for our stupid jarheads that died because they're stupid. Let her circle back around to show how stupid you all are.
