Flag of United States BLKWF13 is E-11A Battlefield Airborne Communications Node (BACN - "Bacon") 12-9506 #AE54B4. The "wifi in the sky" is a mobile comms relay for troops on the ground. #Afghanistan

That tweet is from last night. I'm only posting it tonight because that plane is back up and circling Bagram again tonight.
I don't pretend to know anything about military aviation, but, last night that plane kept a pattern, while covering Bagram, that was also encircling Kabul.
Tonight, at least so far, it's flight path is much more focused on circling Bagram.
I'm not claiming to know anything about what's going on, but might be worth keeping an eye on.

A number of things can set it off. When I was in Bagram, the C-RAMs would set off flares every once in a while.

Does anyone know anything about the Civil Air Fleet that was activated today for international carriers? They can’t force Delta to re-direct to Kabul. I don’t think it’s that easy.

They are flying to Doha, Albania, Germany and other drop off points and then ferrying people to the states.
Civilian air for US is not flying into Kabul.

Taliban sending reinforcements to Bagram to battle...who? Tweet claims its bc of the fierce resistance they encountered there. Maybe the 75th Ranger Regt is opening up Bagram for business?

Yep. I mentioned that earlier when the news broke that "Biden" was considering that.
Though, it is important to note, that a couple days ago the FAA did clear domestic airlines ro fly into and out of Kabul, "If the flight is approved by the DoD."

Using that "V" in the road between Kabul and Mazar e Sharif as a waypoint, Bagram looks to be about half way between Kabul and Baghlan.
