The US State Dept in its infinite wisdom yesterday told SIVs to print out an unsigned card/letter and to come to the airport.
The unsigned/letter was then passed around to every single person in Kabul telling them if they want to go to the US that they need to print this out and go to the airport. The airport is now getting more and more crowded by the hour and hundreds of thousands are moving to the HKIA thinking they are coming to American.
Absolute disgrace and mental incompetence of the highest order.

And we've seen that documented today. An American citizen did an interview and showed the Visa paperwork the State Dept. sent out.

I'd fricking live in the international terminal of the Kazakhstan airport eating crackers and ketchup like Tom Hanks in The Terminal while waiting for the State Department to catch up if it meant not being stuck in fricking Kabul anymore.
Me too. I'd take the first hot train out no matter where in the frick it was going. It's crazy to think that there are US Citizens in that exact position right now, as I'm typing this and cooking a steak.

I will say that I have been amazed at the reliability of ground reports through all of this. There has been very little "fake news" bullshite, and most everything we've seen reported via unofficial channels has gone on to be verified. Even the shite we think couldn't possibly be true has ended up true.

EXCLUSIVE: An Afghan interpreter who is stuck in Afghanistan with his family is saying that "time is running out," as Taliban continue to hunt door to door for people who worked for the U.S. government.
"Out on the streets and in their homes Taliban ask 'where did you work? for who? what's your name? what was your date?,'" the interpreter told Fox News in an exclusive interview.
The interpreter, who asked to remain anonymous due to safety concerns, said he hasn't left his house in two to three days. He explains those who worked for the U.S. government can't give Taliban the real answers to their questions, so many are in hiding. "If he asks 'what is your name?' what should I tell him?'" the interpreter said.
"Minute by minute we are face-to-face with somebody who will kill us," he told Fox News. "We are scared."
"We worked for American people in Afghanistan in a war zone in Kandahar, especially I…we supported American people in Afghanistan, what they needed--we would supply for them."
Right now, the Afghan interpreter said "we need the American people to help us." He also called on the United Nations to help.
The interpreter was in Kandahar previously, but when the Taliban took over, he and his family fled to Kabul thinking it would be safe.
"After weeks, the Taliban was attacking Kabul as well. Right now we don't know what to do," he told Fox News.
The interpreter said he has tried to go to the airport, and just yesterday got a message that he was on the evacuation list. But, there's too many people, and people are being shot, he told Fox News.

Not really. They know we're not going back in. These people don't really give a shite about a couple sorties here and there. We're extremely weak right now and they know it. There would be no serious repercussions for downing a plane. They're too mixed in with the civilian populace for the US to make a strategic response.

They would drop a plane and Biden wouldn’t do shite. He would get i front of the cameras and read “while a tragic bookend to Trumps withdrawal we will not risk even more American lives in a country where we achieved our objectives of routing Al Queda and killing the mastermind behind 9/11”.
