This is all a huge joke.

We can’t even demonstrate organization and leadership competence when withdrawing troops.

Biden, is the president.
His administration failed at pulling out bottom line which no one else is to blame except Biden. Again, this is his administration and they failed at the execution of getting Americans out, military equipment out, and the people who supported us out.

If the women of this country want their
freedom maybe they should fight. The women in Vietnam fought just like kids. It was all hands on deck.

My sgt in the army was a former Captain in the South Vietnamese army who got out of a shrimp boat. He told me they went into villages where they had to change the mentality of the people as everyone fought to save their village. The North went in to these areas saying the whiteman or French killed your grandfather along with your grandmother, the whiteman or Americans killed your father & mother, and you need to fight them. These communities stuck together and that is why we had a hard time beating the NVA.

Some countries such as Honduras and Guatemala have the same problems even today. I was a military adviser in these countries in the early 1980’s. These people were scared to fight and were cowards to stand up to the rebels. That is why they left these countries to come here even today.

This country will always fold to a stronger organization until the towns and people including women decide to stand up for something different. This is something we cannot control.

Agree, from someone who hasn’t served but has family history of service so thank you for your service.

I don’t disagree with the withdrawal as many others have said, just the piss poor execution of doing so. This was always going to end up a lost cause, it just didn’t have to result in literally arming the enemy to do God knows what to remaining American personnel before we can evacuate them. It’s a disgrace to those who sacrificed along the way.

The whole thing seems to have been have been orchestrated to unfold exactly as it has. I believe coincidences are a lot less frequent than they appear to most people. I think Biden admin used this strategy to arm the Taliban, not that he’s just senile and didn’t know better. It’s not really he calling the shots either openly or via just doing as directed.

This is pretty uplifting shite. I, too, hope to one day expel Uncle Sam from my beautiful country.

Lulz. I guess we should have stayed there for another 20 years, wasting billions and risking American lives go bring democracy where it is not wanted. Then we could have won this conflict that was a terrible idea from the beginning.

Honestly, can anyone name one good thing Biden has done.

Pronouns. He gave us new pronouns. The ones we had before weren't cutting it.

Seeing multiple accounts on twitter report Kabul has fallen and transfer of power is underway as the Afghan army departs Kabul as well. It’s over. Didn’t even make it to lunch.

He asks that we bear with him during this time of difficult decisions between getting executed and living in India.

The Kabul International Airport is now under constant fire and has officially shut down. The US Embassy just released a notice for everyone to stay in place as the airport is closed. This is turning into a worst case scenario and the blood on Biden's hands are going to be immense. All of our top military brass should resign in disgrace

Coming back to this thread. The bitching back and forth fricked the other one up.

This situation is turning into worst case scenario real quick. We’ve got citizens surrounded by taliban being told to shelter in place.

Can you update the thread title? Maybe we can get a sticky.

Benghazi endured the same. We find out who's strong or weak in times like this.

The 82nd has a full BCT on alert at all times for situations like this. I'd venture to guess things are a bit crazy up in Fayetteville right now.

I'm sure a Ranger Regiment or two is spinning up right now as well. Their specialty is seizing and holding airfields.
