I have commanded soldiers at the company level. We had a situation where some of my troops were having an operational issue while forward deployed to Turkey.
Once I got wind of this, I was in my office at the company HQ. Myself and my 1SG stayed there for three days, sleeping in our offices. Why? Because it was important for our Soldiers to know we were there and engaged, and all of our focus was on them. Not to mention to let our other Soldiers still there with us know we were taking this shite very seriously.
The Commander in fricking Chief was radio silent, on vacation, for three fricking days while our civilians were being overrun. He pops in for one ten minute blurb, takes no questions, and heads back on vacation. He pops back in a few days later for an interview, gives no direction, and now wants to fly back home for a few days.
It's fricking disgusting. It flies in the face of everything I was taught about being a leader.
Biden is a piece of shite. He doesn't give two fricks about our people.

ON JUNE 20 , I posted a note about how the Kabul embassy had shut down processing visa's for a week do to covid. The afghans were concerned that visa's were not being processed.
why does the state dept not just allow any English speaking family to get on the empty planes and do the visa work in Kuwait, Abu dabi, or Dahran. Send the good ones forward and the bad ones go back.

Not shooting folks in her case, but they were chanting "Death to America!". She said despite those chants they seemed friendly.
