Not sure how you go to a so called “Christian” seminary, get some sort of degree and then claim that all religions lead to the same god. The PUSA Presbyterian leadership is know for being woke and heretical. Talarico went to Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, they are part of the PUSA.
2 Peter 2:1-3 …..
But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. 2 And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. 3 By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber

I think Jesus' most stern warning to Believers was to be aware of the many anti Christs who will proclaim their belief in Jesus Christ as Lord while teaching and promoting a false doctrine.
This ^^^ is happening at a level never before seen in history.
I know in the KC market there are several Democratic Socialists running their political ads for Congress and for governorships claiming they are Christians who are political moderates. We all know if these Democratic Socialists, who are claiming to be Christians if elected to high office will vote for 99.999999% of the Democratic Socialist agenda.

Biblical Prophecy is scary real. God gave Paul a vision of the future and he correctly diagnosed the evil that now threatens all of humanity.
For the time will come when they will not endure the sound doctrine; but, having itching ears, will heap to themselves teachers after their own lusts - 2 Timothy 4:3
The Fake Reverend James Talarico fits exactly the description of "teachers after their own lusts". He does tickle their itching ears, and he does worship at the Altar of Moral Relativism.

I hope this man is trusting in Christ alone for the forgiveness of his sins, because he certainly doesn't exhibit fruit of it. He is leading people astray, calling evil good, and good evil.

2) a young seminary student who actually takes Christ words seriously to take care of the least and the lost, to be the body of Christ in the world. to not judge, to extend mercy.
which of these two are demonstrating the fruits of the spirit? which one is the more authentic follower of Jesus?

2 Timothy 4 addresses it pretty good as well:

Jesus did not say, take other people’s money by force and/ or buy stuff and give it to others.

I don't claim to know Paxton's heart, either. I just have to try to practice righteous discernment in my own everyday living. I have no idea how deep Christ had to reach for Paxton, but I do know how deep Christ had to reach for me. And it was deep.

Sounds just like King David.
The Bible is chock full of broken people whose hearts are pointed in the right direction, but screw up and need forgiveness.
It’s also full of polished charlatans, whose hearts are not pointed in the right direction yet appear to be shining examples of what the lost think is the right way.

I’m not in Texas but I’d be more open to vote for a sinner than vote for someone that preaches with the devil's tongue.
