Or they have to pass a law outlining the enforcement mechanism for Section 3.

Now this is interesting. Didn't think they would go this far. Glad they did, but it is certainly something to unpack

This is the risk of “novel legal theory”…

You not only lose but the loss forces a definition be put on the issue limiting things going forward.

This had been a double edged sword on executive orders until a number of them were so clearly illegal that the court had to limit them.

The fact that it went 9-0...on this court with justices of such widely disparate views...shows just how wacko these people are who tried to keep Trump off the ballot.

I can't quickly find the stats for this term, but for 2022-2023 session, almost half of their decisions were 9-0.

The contentious ones just get all the headlines.

I feel bad for any Colorado Supremes who voted against the initial ballot ruling. They will get lumped in with the idiots.

Well this is certainly better than the proposed "must be impeached and convicted" offerings.

Now the Secretary of State and any government official in Colorado who supported that BS should be immediately stripped of office... for blatant subversion of the Constitution and right to vote in free/fair elections.

I expect there to be a LOT of pressure for a discharge petition to do just this, then.

CNN is so predictable any time something goes Trump's way that they have to report. they post the headline, then underneath that article they have five or six completely unrelated stories about Trump that are all negative. every single time. instead of multiple articles about how completely fricked up Colorado was in this case and how all of this lawfare is so destructive, they post a bunch of other negative stories to subtly insinuate that even though Trump may have gotten by with this one, look at all this other stuff to remind you of how bad he is. never fails.

I guess that takes Maine & Illinois off the table as well:

Email reads...

To: Courts of Maine & Illinois
From: Team Trump

Good Morning,

Please find attached my appeal of your recent rulings about my ability to be on the ballot in your state.

It is a Supreme Court of United States UNANIMOUS opinion that, in short, reads "you have no jurisdiction here."

Put my name back on the ballot, immediately.

With lowest regards,
Team Trump
