lol I love this take from the left. If Trump was so authoritarian, he would have sent federal troops in to shut down the George Floyd riots. Instead he left it to the cities and states. Meanwhile, Biden goes into Texas to prevent it from protecting its border.

Clue in and read history - you’re the actual Nazis.

Co. Supreme court

What are rational and reasonable penalties for the political hacks to hold them accountable to the rule of law? Perhaps three-strikes and they’re out? What I mean is if they get overruled by certain higher courts more than twice, they are automatically removed from the bench. Or less harsh penalties for overruling in split decisions but super harsh penalties for unanimous or near-unanimous decisions.

Are you saying it is hard for msm pundits to make statements that are illogical, nonsensical, irrational, and otherwise totally preposterous?

In CO, retention elections.

Good luck getting the CO legislature (or any state's legislature) to pass something like that.

Regulate them the same way Las Vegas regulates casino scammers. You get caught, you get put in the black book, and you get banned from ever setting foot in the premises of a courtroom or court house ever again for any reason whatsoever.

I would only do this for judges that make rulings that get overturned 9-0. I can excuse their actions if so much as one of the supposed top nine legal minds in the U.S. agrees with their interpretation of the law or the Constitution. But when it is overturned by an unanimous decision that is judicial malpractice. If the nine top brain surgeons in the country were in unaniomous opinion that a brain surgeon screwed up an operation how long would that surgeon have a license to practice brain surgery? If the nine top aviation specialists in the country all agreed that an airplane crash was due to pilot error how long would that pilot have a license to fly, assuming he was still alive in the first place? The decisions of judges have the same potential to be life and death decisions as those professions. Their less than adequate decision making ability should be treated just the same.

That's especially true for our marginalized communities

This is in effect the same SC that was on the bench during the latter Trump presidency. I fail to remember Trump using executive orders to establishment concentration camps, labor camps, and other far left political boogeymen for all of these marginalized communities. If he was this ruthless authoratarian why did he not enact any authoratarion policies when he had the chance to begin with?

The people that take this position are the Border Patrol in the opening scene in Men in Black. The people who counter it like I just did are Tommy Lee Jones. Don't sir me you have no idea who you are dealing with.

Da fuq? The authoritarians are the ones trying to dictate who is/isn’t allowed on a ballot.

I can't quickly find the stats for this term, but for 2022-2023 session, almost half of their decisions were 9-0.

The contentious ones just get all the headlines.

Makes it hard to spread the narrative that the SC is packed for the conservatives if viewers know that statistic.

A VICTORY FOR DEMOCRACY!

Personally I would say more like proof that the current political system in Washington still feels it is too risky and dangerous to openly and brazenly show how completely corrupt they are capable of being. Then again I have never used the user name Mr. Sunshine for any of my internet activity.

A strong man tried to use his private militia to stop democracy and you're concerned about a court trying to keep him from doing it again?
