The Supreme Court halted a lower court order Monday requiring the president’s accounting firm to turn over his tax records to House Democrats in their impeachment probe.
Chief Justice John G. Roberts, Jr. granted the administration’s request to stay the federal appeals court ruling against the president until “further order.”

Here's hoping Roberts has been liberated from his blackmailers.

Seems more indefinite to me.

I read it the same, curious to hear from posters with better understanding of appeals process.

If he is so smart and wealthy, what is the big deal?
Perhaps he is neither smart or wealthy and all this is a house of cards?

Dems will appeal to the 9th circuit.
Maybe some judge in Hawaii will seek to overturn.??

Post your tax returns...
What do you have to hide?

One commentator suggested that he might not be as rich as he claims. And so the returns would be embarrassing, and would mar his image.

Doesn't want those Cohen hush money reimbursement payments associated with the two hoes he banged, expensed as legal expenses on his tax return, made public.

We are at the Supreme Court level now. The case doesn't go backwards unless the Supreme Court justices send it back.
This is a stay. Trumps accounting firm does not have to comply with the lower courts ruling until this case is heard in SCOTUS. A final decision will likely come down next summer. Trump will win.

But 2 years of a special counsel which turned up nothing followed by a parade of people shuffling through Congress, who have the feels but no evidence, is free. Right?

Nobody wants to see them and I am not a public figure
I make between 24K and 36K a year so not a big deal especially as I own no business that would be a conflict of interest with a government job.

Nothing, but you raise the correct point! If he has nothing to hide, why not release them. Every POTUS prior to this one (both D and R) opened their books to the public, what makes this POTUS so special?

Because it's none of their freaking business.

What good did it do before? The last guy entered office with hundred of thousands in assets and left with 10s of millions..and none of that malfeasance was found in his tax returns.
