This is my hope = further, that Trump spend two years wrecking hell and fixing shite, then retiring in time for Desantis to fill out the remaining 2 years and qualify for 8 more on his own.

In fact, I'd like to see them campaign on that promise.

Outline exactly the steps Trump will take to reform the fed gov.

edit - I have always believed this was surely the scheme dims had in mind for the Biden/Harris ticket until Kamala showed how completely inept she is in every category except the 'minority' status.

You are right.

Everyone needs to know who Robert Barnes is. He is a LA attorney and a huge Trump guy. He placed big bets on Trump in the betting markets in 2016. Looks like he is betting on Trump again in 2024.

Barnes big bet

Why the hell would DeSantis do this. Any slip he would make could cost him. Any disagreement with Trump real or perceived would split off Trump fans. Then the GOP would be utter chaos.

Trump could be caught on camera butt fricking aborted fetuses. “Fake news”. DeSantis must not slip. Also, as VP he would have to take the weight of any Trump baggage added over another term.

I don't believe this rumor. Another guy claimed the GOPe asked him to tell Trump to GTFO and help Ron's campaign. He supposedly told DeSantis they will eat your lunch.

DeSantis is being pushed

The establishment is pushing DeSantis. There is no denying this. To Ron's credit, it is possible he thinks they will allow his MAGA policies. But I doubt it--

I think if DeSantis got an unwarranted FBI raid, the GOPe would not stop asking for Garlands resignation until it happened.

They want us so sick of the Trump gas lighting that we cry mercy.

None of the corruption would get cleaned up-They just want the curtain pulled back shut.

We can't unsee it.

Trump sure doesn't help. Chris Christie did an interview justifying the MAL raid.

How did Trump respond? Not with facts saying that Trump was cooperating with the archives & FBI people. Nope, can't have that. Trump responded with a fat shaming meme about Christie. As well a meme of Trump wearing a Q pin.

While I appreciate Trump's humor, nonpolitical correctness & blunt mannerisms.

Sometimes the Trump admin look like juvenile gimmick players-- selling books on TS. This makes DeSantis look appealing...

VP for Trump is political suicide.

No way BDR does that.

So, DeSantis as a running mate with a notion that Trump will tap out early could make sense for them both.

It would potentially mean defacto 12 years of Desantis.

100%

For such (mostly) bright people on this board, you’d think others would acknowledge it. But reality will donkey punch us yet again in 2 years if not also in Nov.

Yes they have, if Trump runs DeSantis will not and will remain Gov of FL until 2028 when he will run for President.

Solid deal, good for the US and for FL.

Trump/DeSantis ticket. One them has to move out the state of Fl. Reason is that they could not receive the elector votes.

.The 12th Amendment to the nation’s guiding document sends a straightforward message to the Electoral College on how to choose the country’s next leaders. It states: “The Electors shall meet in their respective states and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves.”

Exactly. It would have to be Trump that moved; no way DeSantis moves out of the state he is currently governor of.

And you can't start an election -30 in electoral votes.
