Its amazing how some people do not wish others to receive the same benefits they received in this country.

The Student Loan Forgiveness will only give $10k to most borrowers, which is very minimal.

Meanwhile Congressional Lawmakers that have been very vocal in their opposition received PPP Loan forgiveness.

Marjorie Taylor Green - $183,504
Mike Kelly - $987,237
Vern Buchanan - $2.3M
MarkWayne Mullin - $1.4M
Kevin Hern - $1M

What sucks about American politics is that people have a problem with taxpayers giving money to things that don't affect them, but perfectly okay receiving that same "handout" from the government when it's them.

I don't care if you are a Democrap or a Republican't, both parties are full of crap and I wish that their was a foundational basis that laws and decisions are made.

Some Politicians pretend to rely on their faith but totally skip the part where God says in Luke 6:31 Do to others as you would have them do to you.

I hope you realize that PPP money did not go into the pockets of the people you are listing. It's a stupid analogy.

The people who got the PPP Loan (and then forgiveness) didn't just keep all that money for themselves. They had to prove that it was used to keep employees on the payroll AND that they paid their employees during that period. Well, at least the ones who didn't commit massive f*cking fraud.

Did the government force people to go to college?

Because the government forced the economy and people to stop working.

Also, this money was approved by congress. This forgiveness is not.

The lockdowns were forced upon the business owners... The students asked for the loans.. They should call the PPP loans what they really are... Stimulus checks.

We already did this yesterday and highlighted how retarded this comparison is, NPC.

Apples to bowling balls

PPP loans were meant to be forgiven if you followed the requirements

No one signed a student loan that said they would be forgiven.

This comparison makes you look like an uniformed idiot. But Twitter loves it because they’re all uninformed idiots looking for zingers.

Loan forgiveness was part of the deal in one and not in the other. You guess which is which.

I bet the democrat KoolAid they’re feeding you to make $300B Worth of gifts to their voting base defensible tastes delicious! It must go down so much sweeter when you can criticize business owners that you completely fricked over with your Masked Covidian idiocy who didn’t keep a dime of the PPP “loans” which only went to fund payroll of employees who still got a paycheck while the business owner tried to figure out whether it was possible to market goods and services without contact with the general public!

You are also steadfast and amazing in your accuracy in reporting the talking point!! well done. You just lost a few style points bc you didn’t put it on TikTok.

Government forces you to shut down your business. They didn’t force you to take out a loan you had no intention of paying back.

A bit different to take a loan to pay your employees vs taking out a loan and renting a high end apartment while in college.

The same group also voted against Stimulus checks for the public and when it passed they wanted to give the bare minimum during the shutdown.

It's sad that people don't understand this difference. Regardless of anybody's views on the two they are fundamentally different.

And I say that as someone who never got a stimmy dime, PPP or anything else during this shitshow.

If PPP loans were meant to be forgiven then it was a handout, which is what one party always seem to bark against.

Either you are for handout or you are not!

People who took out student loans signed the loan documents and agreed to pay it back

Business who took out PPP loans applied knowing the loans would be forgiven if they met certain requirements.

There is a big difference there.

Instead of forgiving student loans, they should have made them better interest free for those who have been responsible and made their payments on time.

They should also fix the the problem with the cost of going to college. Not just the cost of the degree but the cost of books and supplies. A professor shouldn’t be able to require the his class spend hundreds of dollars on a book he wrote, and then never once open that book, bookstores shouldn’t be able to charge insane amounts for a pack of pencils.

So you got to use free money to pay your employees instead of out of pocket? Yeah, tap dance all you want, business owners received a huge windfall compared to the normal blue collar worker
