I am curious what happened in this situation that fall under SHTF? Everything militarily seemed to go according to plan. Iran didn't pull something out of left field, not wanting to negotiate and closing the straight seemed to be the obvious cards Iran could play.

We are realizing it's not like Afghanistan or Iraq .
They have more recourses almost twice as big and over triple the people.

I don’t think we had a choice. If you read between the lines and look at how he has asked companies like GM to produce missiles and bitched that Raytheon isn’t producing enough then you’d realize we don’t have the munitions. We gave away too much to Ukraine. We blew our load against Iran and gambled they’d surrender and they didn’t. Now we are stuck dead in the water trying to force a deal with a blockade and they’re just gonna play the long game and wait it out. There’s nothing we can do
