If it doesn’t hurt, then they have no skin in the game. Only pain for the US is short term fuel prices and associated transportation cost on products. Other will run low on gas

Trump usually doesn't negotiate deals with an endless stream of individuals that are assassinated by his business partner so this is proving to be uniquely challenging for him

The Iranians have dug in and mobile anti ship missiles and drones that our own intel agencies say we’ve only gotten less than half of.
Meanwhile China who is the only other stakeholder who could force a deal has oil stockpiled and is able to wait it out while the rest of the world grinds to an economic halt and has people rioting.

Hard to know what is the truth since Iran and our fake news media are on the same level of trust.
This little adventure for Israel has been a mistake though. The good news is if we can wrap this up it will be forgotten by midterms. So we need to wrap this and move back to where they have to discuss the domestic wins, deport the illegals faster, actually have the useless DOJ arrest someone other than a special forces guy making a bet, and start to hammer H1Bs that got unfair housing and are depressing American wages.

Trump is unpredictable. Sometimes that's an advantage sometimes it backfires like it has in Iran. Iran is not an example of 8D intergalactic chess its an example of 2D stupidity. His supporters will never admit this on here even if they think it. You can't negotiate with religious fanatics who will fight until the last man is standing. You have to totally decapitate them and we don't seem willing to do that and we shouldn't because it would require a long term ground invasion. Trump should have never let off the gas with the bombing and destruction until he was 100% sure he could get some form of deal.
