A republic is a very specific, special form of democracy. We are a republic. And that cannot be changed no matter how badly the left wants it changed.

Good start to the most important distinctions ,,,

Republics and democracies both provide a political system in which citizens are represented by elected officials who are sworn to protect their interests.

In a pure democracy, laws are made directly by the voting majority, leaving the rights of the minority largely unprotected.

In a republic, laws are made by representatives chosen by the people and must comply with a constitution that protects the rights of the minority from the will of the majority.

When dems use this term they do not mean anything other than people that will vote for them just be voters. This is how the USSR operated, technically everyone there got a vote too, just only one party to vote for...

Say the pledge of allegiance in your head…

Count how many times the word democracy is the the us constitution…

Article IV Relationships Between the States

Section 4 Republican Form of Government
The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion

Also judging from the downvotes to you OP, your opinion wouldn’t matter in a democracy.

Can you locate the term democracy in say the Constitution or Declaration of Independence? How about another document of magnitude from the inception of America?

If the Democrats win the WH and Congress we will be a republic:
The Peoples Republic of America. We won't be a democracy because nobody's vote will count (see Venezuela's voting system0.

I don’t think Democracy is mentioned in the Constitution, the Bill of Rights or any amendments. Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong

The Right and Left is a farce.

The Machine or Deep State is running this bitch.

Trump is a speedbump that happens to be on “the right”.

The puppeteers are in charge. They were unable to select the R candidate this time and tried to kill his arse.

It’s all pretend. Hold on to your guns. You will want them one day, for the exact reason that they’re in the constitution.

I will

Go look up how often elections or voting is mentioned. That's democracy.

Another thought on this is the establishment of the electoral college by our founders. If you take time to understand the purpose of this then a democracy isn’t even close to the type of government we are supposed to have. Eat on that for a bit…

Minorities should love it and they would if most weren’t targeted by communist propaganda and basically crapped on by the very government that has a duty to protect them. Just like they should be for a constitutional republic that protects their individual rights.

Democracy has been given a positive connotation by the brainwashing education system. It always results in suppression of individual rights.

It’s not complicated, stop overthinking it and realize that we aren’t supposed to be a Democracy. You are brainwashed!

This isn’t even debatable. It’s factual. I get lost frequently when people I otherwise respect and think are intelligent dig in behind a talking point that is fully detached from reality. This is one of those talking points.
