Social media is to blame, not college.
Social media has allowed stupid people to gather in like-minded groups where their ignorance is affirmed and amplified.

You do realize a lot of this is College students fricking with the person asking the questions. There are airheads no doubt, but a lot of it is just screwing with the person asking the questions

The black guys didn't even know who was on the 100 despite 10,000 rappers rapping about it over the years.

This isn't a new thing... been like this for years and years.
Just like most things in life, a majority of people don't live up to expectations.

Jay Leno did this segment in the 90s with GenX pretty regularly.

College is a huge problem in this arena.
Hell. I watched some dude confront a conservative on campus with the "how much formal education have YOU had.........WEEEEE all have formal education".
The conservative then asked him about his views on Marx and the dude said, "who's that?"
We are pumping people out of college who actually believe they're "educated" who don't know shite that I knew in the 6th grade!
Used to be, I could figure out if a person I'd met was "educated" just by chatting with them 20 or 30 minutes............now, they think not matter hwo fricking uninformed they are, their "Degree" makes them smarter than ANYONE without a degree.

It’s all about the Benjamins baby.
Didn't even need school for that one.

I do blame the education system, but honestly how do you get to be that age and not have basic knowledge?

I don't particularly care for these videos because the content is highly selective. How many teenagers did they interview who actually answered these questions correctly?
My wife turns into a doom scroller at night and occasionally it will land on a few where they do some from different campuses. There are some where they have some 18-20 yos go 100% on some things I get stumped on. Usually if it’s particularly egregious we’ll do it with our kids just to make sure we haven’t failed them. I will say they go to a classical school that doesn’t teach geography and they can miss more of those than they should. That’s on me.
I’d say 99% of the time the average college student goes 50:50, but these are cherry picked.

Correct. Like I said above, this has been going on since at least the 90s with GenX.
Not sure if Jay started this or not.

In fairness all of them did better than Bidens last political media spokesthing…

One guy he asked about sexual relationships.
One was who invented the Franklin stove. Which I don’t think anyone of young age has a reason to even know that.
I don’t know that one, but my guess would be Benjamin again.

That isn't the only clip. Jaywalking was a regular skit in the 90s through 00s. Same exact content.
There is nothing special or new about Gen Z. If you ask enough Zoomer questions, you'll find funny responses, just like Gen X, Millennials, Boomers, etc.

Most people in the military are absolute morons. I would not mind a national service requirement, but that could include all kinds of things, not just military. But in addition to the service requirement we’d need something to weed out the morons, like be a taxpayer based on W2 wages.
