My first job out of LSU was in California = I loved it but had no money to do anything but a little drive-around sight-seeing. Fell in love with Yosemite & Sequoia and the hills above Pomona - When I retired back to Leesville, I took my summer motorcycle trips out west and California was always on the route.
Now I'd be afraid to go alone into that hellhole now on a motorcycle.
