You can make legit arguments for a couple of guys as the worst. In terms of how they are perceived vs reality there is no one as overrated as FDR and it's not close. But he is not the worst.

Hot take: FDR

He laid the foundation for the massive expansion of government that has caused so many of our problems:

-installed leftist puppet justices who wouldn’t say no to him

-unilaterally seized all private gold so he could print more money; his judges approved

-began the handouts which we all know and love (SNAP, welfare, Medicaid, etc)

-raised taxes out the wazzoo to pay for all this

It's close between L.B.J., Obama and Biden.

Barrack Hussein Obama and it's not even close.

He single handedly destroyed the Democratic party from anything resembling putting America first. Ended all Moderate Democrats in Congress. He is the reason you have the Democratic Socialists now in power. The architect of the Globalists push to end America's sovereignty and hand it over to people in Davos.

When he said the Fundamental Transformation of America, he wasn't lying.

You can name a thousand things of what makes you a Democrat, or why you vote Democrat, and none of them are relevant to what's actually happening in today's political climate.

The Democrats are fighting to become another country like England, France, and Germany where other countries decide what we can and can not do in our daily lives.
It's why the 2nd Amendment always comes under attack. Not to save children. It's so we become defenseless when they sell us down the river to Davos.

In living memory it’s either Carter or Biden.

Obama, Biden, LBJ, Bush. In that order.

Could you? He embarked on a very ill-advised and expensive nation building folly, but other than that was very solid. And he dodged both those shoes with elan.

If we limit it to 1980 then that’s a good list. Jimmy Carter was BAD!! And I’m sure if we lived through some of the previous ones we’d have a few more candidates.

Not sure about "ever". Biden was the bad because he was a braindead dumbass tool being used to destroy us, but he was just an extension of obamas presidency. So 1a and 1b.

Lincoln

FDR
LBJ
BHO

Okay, we've had lots of posts where folks have expressed their opinion on who the best U.S. Presdent was, but let's explore who the worst president there ever was.

I'd whole-heartedly have to say that Joe Biden was the worst president there ever was. The damage he did to our country will be felt for decades to come.

Lincoln destroyed the Constitution, ended Federalism, and concentrated power to the Central Government. Secession was the last resort checks and balances available to the States to reign in the Fed and since that option has been taken away, nothing has stood in the way of an overarching, overbearing Fed Gov. Everything you hate about the Federal Government was made possible by this man and the Yankees that supported him.

Nothing comes close. Lincoln's actions paved the way for FDR, LBJ, Nixon, Bush, Obama, Biden. His usurpation of power opened the door to what was possible with the office of POTUS.

If you consider yourself a conservative (not a Republican) you should never, ever, admire Lincoln.

ETA: Recency bias has us thinking Biden, Bush, BHO, and for some Trump, but when you look at the arc of history, none of these made gross violations of the Constitution.

I'll also add Nixon as he took us off the Gold standard for the last time which caused the inflation and spending we see today. And IIRC, he was the one that figured out POTUS could hold out federal funds to a State unless they bend to the will of POTUS.

Obama was the worst intentional President.

Biden because he was installed illegally - 2020 was absolutely stolen.

I’ll see your James Buchanan and raise you Franklin Pierce.

all the things you said about Buchanan can be said about Pierce except Pierce was first. He refused to really do anything about the spread of slavery either way and allowed partisans in Congress to run amuk in a moment when the country desperately needed a unifying figure.
