And make sure they don't smoke cigarettes, or drink more than one alcoholic beverage a day, or take any of the 100s of over-the-counter medications that are known to put the unborn at risk? Or maintain horrible diets? Or engage in physical activities that might put the pregnancy at risk?

Because, you know, the unborn are humans and have full rights.

Or are we just going to pass laws and leave these unborn children to their own devices? I doubt a woman who is forced to carry out a full pregnancy is going to do what's best for the pregnancy for nine months.

Would more laws be required? To make the mother act in the best interest of the child during pregnancy? How would that go?

Many states have laws against alcohol use/abuse while pregnant already.

How about if you get an abortion you get your tubes tied that day?

The is nobody following you around to ensure you don't harm yourself. Why would it be any different for a mother?

This is all already done. Women are hospitalized/jailed if they knowingly put their unborn at risk. Certainly, even though you are ideologically possessed, you can recognize the difference between eating a bag of chips and shooting heroin, and at what point The State feels it has an interest to intervene on behalf of the unborn. It’s established law and available with a quick Google search.

Illegal drug use.

What about all of the legal activities that are proven increase the health risks of an unborn child?

I appreciate your attempt at a legit answer. Much better than the mouth breathers replying with nothing.

Asking a conservative or “pro-lifer” to think something through is a pretty tall order.

Here’s a thought- maybe these women will gain some responsibility and not get pregnant in the first place since they won’t be able to use abortion as birth control.
