I'm just trying to figure out why people ardently defend and objectively bad system. We're paying for a new Mercedes and getting a used Kia out of it.

Then clearly you support death panels and stopping healthcare for the willingly obese and smokers.

Right?

Too fricking expensive.

Only way it wouldn't be too fricking expensive is rationing care.

The current system is fine. If you want to lower costs it lies in regulations, tort, and other areas. The ACA really pushes costs higher at a faster pace. We don’t need any more government ran anything. You want to promote a system that will fail tremendously and cost us to death long term.

We also spend more because we are actually getting health care.

Try going to the doctor in Europe for the flu. You will get an appointment in about a year.

I’ll just say the ACA, my premium doubled, deductible went from $500 to $4,000, prescription went from $250 to $2,000, and dental insurance cost doubled and went from 2 cleanings free a year to 1. I’m lower/middle class. I also had to change doctors and was told since my employer already has insurance I cannot get on the exchange. If that’s a sign of universal healthcare I’m out.

At lower middle class with 4 kids my paycheck took a just over $100 month hit for health insurance cost raising due to ACA.

That’s rich coming from some who says we don’t have the world’s best healthcare, why do the wealthy from all over the world come here?

I can’t imagine why a country the size and diverse population of the US has a higher healthcare cost than a relatively homogeneous small population with a tiny size such as Switzerland.

No, you've proven that we spend a lot. The debate point is that our current spending is only a fraction of what it would be if we went full-bore universal.

From what I have seen, you have not proven crap. Your graph is highly misrepresentative of the total situation but don't let quality of care fool you.

If you cannot understand the problems with government run healthcare, no amount of discussion will help.

It’s entertaining when racists like Powerman also try and claim the small all white nations are so superior, racism is wrong!

I mean let’s not even talk about how the US alone has the size and population of at least half of the rest of the list combined.

Can’t imagine why we spend more than those countries. Nope. No clue.

Exactly. There is a reason Jagger had heart surgery in the US, rather than using universal healthcare in the UK.

The Rolling Stones frontman is reportedly resting at an unspecified New York CIty hospital. According to Billboard, Jagger was given a transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR).

Jagger would have died waiting for that shite government provided healthcare.
