So, what you’re saying is that you are perfectly fine with Hammurabi traipsing elephants through the Alps?

The U.S. didn't vote the way virtue signaling people wanted on a U.N. resolution, so now Drumph is siding with dictators.

Neither does providing welfare to wealthy European countries.
You realize they are upset that they have to carry their own fricking weight?

Russia and the US are natural allies in today's world. We both are opposed to the further rise of China.
Yes.
The United States and the Soviet Union allied during World War II because they shared a goal of defeating Nazi Germany and fascism. The alliance was formed out of necessity and cooperation, even though the two countries had different political and economic interests.
History seems to be repeating itself.. but now China is the common enemy.

Not one of those countries were Axis countries and actually one of them help defeat the Axis countries.

As a GEN-Xer and growing up in the Cold War as well…our Cold War allies have progressively gotten worse since the collapse of the Soviet Union of living off the US govt tit and turned their backs on western values…
We have not turned our back on our NATO allies, they turned their backs on us…
We don’t need them, but they need us…as far as I’m concerned we should never ever come to their aid again…saving their asses twice is enough…

First you have to accept a few things as fact. One of them being that when this war is over, there is a zero chance that Russia won't own the land it currently has control over.
With that said, why the hell would we vote for a resolution that says the exact opposite of the deal we are in process of trying to make to end the war? Why do you think this resolution was even brought to the floor for a vote?
This resolution was pure optics. It was our "friends" doing their best to make Trump look bad. To their credit they were successful, as the optics are bad to anyone not paying full attention.

Why did you leave off China from your list? Or did your Chinese made phone autocorrect it ??

How have you felt about being cozy with the regime that killed more people than Stalin or Hitler, Communist China?

A couple thousand people will die unnecessarily this week in this war, and it won't have any impact on how the war ends.
And you're concerned about a toothless UN resolution?

Would you continue the US continue to fund this useless war in perpetuity while the rest of Europe does relatively little besides condemning the US for not subsidizing Europe's problem?
Trump's only concern is the US. He doesn't really give a shite about Ukraine or Russia. He's just looking to make a deal that best benefits the US and stops the US from funding this war. That means he will do whatever is necessary to create leverage in the negotiations. If that means shitting on Ukraine for some things, he'll do it. It that means shitting on Russia to create leverage, he'll do that too. Everything in Trump's life is a transaction. He thinks, and KNOWS, the US holds leverage over Russia and Ukraine, so he will exercise that bargaining power to his (the USA's) benefit.

If you mean that they both view the world as it IS, rather than how they wish it were, or how they think it should be, then I agree with you.

We aren’t siding with Iran or North Korea.
Russia was our biggest ally in World War 2 and the Nazis would control Europe without them.
We aren’t siding with Russia either. We’re ending a war that’ll inevitably end in the complete collapse of Ukraine.

It's really a shame. Had we supported that resolution, Russian forces would be making their way back to Russia as we speak and the war would be over.
