The crime/fraud exception eliminates that privilege.

Cohen just admitted to 3 crimes involving Trump. Not a complete stretch to believe there may be others.

Yeah, but unless you are conspiring about committing a crime, then the conspiracy isn’t a crime.

Old School Clinton hack.

Serious question: who’s more in fear of their life right now, Cohen or Davis?

Clinton’s don’t play around.

Well yeah, that's the definition of criminal conspiracy.

Wrong election cycle. That hot mic incident was before the 2012 election.

What is the underlying crime? My god...the ignorance displayed by some of you is amazing.

are you saying if a person/target/defendant tells his attorney he committed a crime, the crime/fraud exception allows the lawyer to disclose? My god. You are using legal terms...unfortunately you have no idea what they mean. How embarrassing for you.

Obama, who was prez at the time, knew what was going on and ordered nothing be done. What did you expect private citizen Trump to do, if he did know?

Not the wrong election cycle at all.

He promised before 2012 that after the 2012 election he would have more flexibility for them. Flexibility which he provided them for the 2016 election while he was still president. But no one cares about that.

You don't think Cohen wants that information in the news? Did you hear this morning that Cohen advised his attorney to tell NPR that he WILL NOT accept a pardon from Trump?

There’s that episode of the Ukranian peace plan that Cohen was reportedly involved in. Could be what he’s referencing.

Anyone with basic reading comprehension can see that isn't what he said. That doesn't include you sadly. Law school intern strikes again.

P.S.

What I am saying is that the poster has no idea how the crime/fraud exception works. What are you talking about? I won’t accept a free Ferrari either. It’s easier to turn down shite that isn’t offered. What is the relevance? Why did you bring it up?

What? Read the OP. Here it is:
quote:

TRUMP had prior knowledge of Russian hacking.

A poster responded saying “wouldn’t that fall under the atty/client privilege”, to which he responded “crime/fraud exception”. What I posted is exactly what he said. Clearly you don’t understand the exception either. Sad. I’m not sure if you even understand what is happening here. Do you know why the crime fraud exception doesn’t apply to the privilege in a situation described in the OP?

How embarrassing for you. It’s ok to be ignorant. It’s not ok to be a prick while being ignorant.

There's also the June 7 Russian-dirt pre-meeting, and (hell, who knows why not be pie in the sky here), maybe hacker payoffs.
