good luck with the stock market also.

shite we were at 11% inflation under the demetia ridden POS who stole the election last time.

stop spending so much ephen money,

for the millionth time, NGAF about that anymore unless it causes hyperinflation. that ship has sailed. move on to other issues that are doable

even if all the debt was paid off some POTUS on either side would run it back up. it is a loser stance, most have accepted this.. we will always carry huge debts.

99% of all politicians at the federal level were already "bought in" and selected before the party pushed money behind their election. They're all in it together and they are going to toe the party line. They also all have to pledge to Israel and kiss the rings. There is no political solution with the current situation.

He will veto everything and go to state dinners and enjoy himself the next two years. If he was smart, he’d invite the dems in and just work with them. The republicans are clearly too inept to do anything he wants them to.

Yeah that fella was/is giving the left quite a bit of credibility there - quite a bit too much. Given their not so subtle displays of frenzied craziness, openly and proudly, I’d say it’s a reasonable expectation that they’ll do as much and go as far with their newly acquired power as they possibly can, very much literally.

Ask Cassidy about voting to impeach.

No doubt that the DSA whipped up the immigrant, anti-Israel, idealistic/woke youth, TDS fools and black voters to blind-side a MAGA which was always unsure about taking out the nuke happy Jihadist Mullahs, but the Freedom loving and God fearing Christian Base remains. Don’t count on them going into the Totalitarian night quietly. That Woke/Trans stuff and the thought of their kids put Trump back in last time and the radical Left that just entered the mainstream political stage will have a sobering effect.

Both Sides are ready to dump Democracy and the next 2 years will likely be the final act for letting fools, grifters and outright criminals decide government power. (With those three demographics being subjective.) It will be interesting to see if the Dems will implement their plans to end it. Republicans never would; but the smart ones know that is the only way to truly ‘reform’ a soon to be dysfunctional system that rides herd over a highly problematic and increasingly dysfunctional population.

It’s still coming.

How, specifically, would you like the govt to lower prices?

I’ll wait.

The government did things that made prices go up, ie the war. Stop doing those things and the prices will come down.

Not sure if Vance has a chance. His endorsement of Vivek's ad against Amy Acton really pissed Ohioans and with that, other American citizens, off.

The GOP needs someone under the age of 50/55/60 to get the younger white male vote back.

Who is our next Charlie?

Jihad IS “war”. And our Nation cannot “stop” the war by ignoring it. Especially as nukes and AI Bio come into play. Like a cancer, the options are few, and obvious.

Islam is dead serious re their Theocratic system and they are pledged to Alla/God to serve it. Your belief to “stop” the war is fallacious, unless you are willing to accept THEIR terms. Such being adopting their Theocracy.

We can run but we cannot hide. Pick your poison.

You fricking idiot. How do you suppose they do that without taxing the shite out of the middle class to pay for it? Raising minimum wage does nothing but increase prices on eveything...

Republicans and smart aren't two words I would ever put together. The core of them had no intentions of fast-tracking Trump's agenda so they went from getting nothing done to having no power to get things done.
that is the preferred position for the Republican establishment, them personally in power at the insider trading feeding trough but being a bottom as a group. They have no interest in actually having power, it’s much easier to fund raise and win if you aren’t in complete power. They can bitch and say give us money and get us elected, we couldn’t do anything without being in control, then when control is delivered they do nothing but arse frick taxpayers. Then it’s we won’t arse frick you as bad as the other guy so let us stay in power. The left likes to play the same game, except they have a portion that wants to get complete control

It's not fallacious to end a war that was never justified. Iran was never forcing its terms upon us. We are the ones that used AI / algorithmic targeting to bomb a school. The last bio weapon was funded by us, and we gave chemical weapons to Saddam.

If we had not gone to war - Iran would still not have nukes, our economy and cost of living would not be in shambles, our servicemembers would still be alive, and we would not have seen Texas elect a radical Democrat as governor.

The poison is Israel and you don't pick a poison, you stay away from it.

Trump did not take the procrastination position of his predecessors. THEY all gave lip service and kicked the can down the road.

Vance wants to dodge the issue for short term success, and hope that it doesn’t “blow up” in his face.

Raise interest rates, stop spending so much ephen money, and require at least a trillion dollars per year to pay down the deficit. But the risk of stagflation will prevent this and the fear of voter fallout if the stock market goes down.

First off raising interest rates does nothing to help the deficit, it hurts it by increasing borrowing costs leaving less money for other parts of the budget. We are already at the Trillion dollar level in net interest alone. Only way to trim that would be cut rates leaving some money to go to the net debt.

Then if you have 1 trillion going to debt service, 4.5 Trillion goes in social programs like social security, Medicare, Medicaid, and welfare that are on autopilot spending. Another 1.8 Trillion is for discretionary spending like military and other programs like highways.

So last year, the government collected 5.8 trillion in taxes. Minus the 1 trillion for debt servicing, you have 4.8 trillion left. Here is pie chart of spending where do you cut.

Our debt problem is a math problem with no real world solutions for the lifestyle and government we created. Yes there is potential fraud in all of these sectors, but two trillion in fraud is a bit much. One big factor is healthcare inflation out pacing income growth.

Eventually, you have to raise taxes. One way is to eliminate deductions and credits to get rid of all the carve outs that businesses and millionaires wrote into the code to pay as little taxes as possible. Taxes should be flat, fair and universal to all income levels not just the rich and omitting the poor. 10,15%, or what ever is needed to fund the government on all income. Not some magical formula that gets reduced because have 2.5 kids, or you bought an electric car, or put solar panels on your home, or drove 10,000 business miles on a car.

Some taxes that should have been raised years ago are social security and Medicare taxes, the programs were never intended to be a pay as you go systems with the federal government taking all the tax revenue and using it to balance the budget.

Medicare and Social Security really shouldn’t be in the chart, it should be in its own budget and tax revenue structure independent of the government. That way any surplus in the past would have stayed in social security and Medicare, and not be spent by the drunken sailors in Congress.
