Paxton is officially running behind by 3 pts. Normally the guy running from behind and this close would want a debate. But Paxton seems to be in no hurry to have one. He probably thinks or is somewhat assured that the Republican machine will carry him. He might be right.

because paxton makes a dog turd look charming when he speaks

seriously go watch him speak, he looks like a drunk sales manager giving out raffle prizes after the annual Wildcat course scrammble

Literally the only time I have felt sorry for Biden. The Dems obviously knew he couldn't beat Trump, so they set the debate early enough to expose Biden and install a better candidate...and THEN they annointed maybe the worst candidate possible....who couldn't even last until the first Democrat primary when she actually ran.

Talarico wouldn't debate him on a neutral platform.

He claims he'd do it on CNN, Nextar and Telumundo but only if his team could approve or strike the questions beforehand.

Super lies.

Paxton shouldn't debate anyone. The guy should not even be running. If Texas is lost it's due to Trump's ego.

Yes this is happening in the cities here. But rest assure if we don't elect Paxton THIS will begin to happen in your town as well, post haste. Ya, funny and sad. I will say this now, even with DFW / Austin / Houston going blue, there is still enough to give Paxton the victory. I will say this now, Paxton wins by double digits.

this..

Pointed out a billion times during primary Cornyn would have won easily, close race if lazy eye.

dipshits celebrated voting for the bootlicker in the primary and now will lose Texas senate seat.

Paxton isn't debating.. he can't.with his record and ethical problems. Talarico would roast him. all he can do is run ads that Talarico doesn't eat meat and other stupid shite.

Paxton rarely debates when he’s running for Office. I don’t think it’s because there’s a weakness in his debate game. He’s a highly effective prosecutor so I’m not sure why he would be unable to debate someone especially someone like his opponent who is pretty weak on substance and has positions far outside anything in Texas

That's the thing my lying porcine friend...you did NOT quote me. You are lying about what I said. I proved that you are lying about what I said.

You might get claps from the other Seals, but even they know you're lying.

The local msm here in TX loves them some Talafreako. I don’t see him getting a fair shot in a televised debate locally, so it’s probably better that he doesn’t. If it was Trump or even Cruz vs Talafreako it wouldn’t matter but I don’t see Paxton being able to overcome moderator bias. He isn’t that skilled of an orator.

I'm no fan, just watching the politics. Talarico is probably at his ceiling at a 3 -3.5 pont spread with a realistic final spread if he were to win somewhere between .75% and 1.5%. Paxton could count on the machine driving its core on election day.

He's a bad candidate. Horrible on the trail, does not really connect well with people.....and this comes from Texas Republicans. There is a difference in running for federal office than state office. Also his personality oozes sleazy.

If Talafreako is as embarrassing and awful as Paxton says he is, debating him should be incredibly easy.

I’m sure people will justify it however they want, but the fact that someone running for office is so scared about debating should be something people hold him accountable for.

All that dipshit does is pick fights with posters. It doesn't even matter if you agree on issues. Big time loser shite.

I didn't watch the CNN townhall, but from looking at X it seems like Talarico got lots of positive, free publicity.

I don't know if there are any true undecided voters out there, but Paxton looks like a coward for being afraid to debate. Do you think that outweighs the risk of losing a debate to Talarico?

Tallywacker's campaign is floundering, why would any savvy politician throw their opponent a lifeline?

It’s just not going to really matter or come to any consequence as it relates to the outcome in voting. It will long be old news by the time people go to vote and there are a considerable amount of other factors that will hold more weight as opposed to Paxton not engaging in a debate.

On a side note.. “hold him accountable for”!!! lol You really are quite dramatic.

I didn’t mean it in much in terms of outcome for the election. I just think it’s an embarrassing decision.
