Right. Huge free market guy but I also recognize it’s role in completely destroying modern American architecture.
so the government should set architectural design here?

supply meet demand. and in case you haven't noticed, most mcdonalds and other fast food places are rebuilding from the ground up in a more pleasing asthetic due to..wait for it...consumer demand.
thanks for posting; i'll add you to the "but but but" group who doesn't really support the free market.

I think that may have been introduced by a dumb tweet.

Disagree on this point. Almost all of the architecture I care about was produced through state funded projects.
I have no control over which architecture you care about. I'm simply pointing out that "state funded projects" (typically funded by a market economy) aren't only way to get architecture that doesn't look like lego blocks.

Cool story internet stranger! Out of curiosity, where do you stand on the government potentially regulating censorship policies for google, Facebook, YouTube etc.?

Shapiro is pure gold when he goes to these college campuses to give talks and all the liberal snowflakes show up to put him in his place. When he embarrasses the shite out of them every time we get a great picture at the future of the Democratic Party. They live to scream and chant things but they have absolutely no idea what they mean.

If all you can do is point to a timeline relation, yea, probably.

Yeah, 100 million killed with communism, but we are worried that Bezos and the like have more money than us.

those aren't even "unfettered"
that's also the worst type of example b/c that's a fricking interstate exit/exchange. you're not going to have buildings worthy of a code in those specific areas. those are areas away from city centers, often away from everything, which are made for ease of in/out to help travelers on the road.

That looks like any of the condos in Panama City, Destin, etc.

I mean, one's older and more dilapidated than the others, but I would hardly hold up those condos as some paragon of beauty.

We were (or at least I was) discussing thematic issues, but your literalness is noted.
And I cannot think of too many city center areas in the U.S. (at least larger cities) that I would hold up as having very pleasant designs.

gee and what new buildings going up in the last 20 years would you use to validate your concerned trolling?
oh yeah, we've improved on the ugly shite that went up during turn-of-the-century industrial revolution but mo jeaux's concerned 'muh brutalist capitalist architecture' has been duly noted.
EL OH EL. do you people get paid by china or antifa?
