I think he is catholic simply because he was confirmed as a Catholic in his youth. However, I think the sorry bastard is truly an anti-pope. He seems hell-bent on destroying the normally conservative values of the church. He can go jump off a fricking cliff as far as I am concerned.

A couple of decades ago if someone said the pope is gay, I’d assume they are anti-Catholic. Now if someone says that same thing, I assume they are either a devout Protestant or a devout Catholic.

Depends on how you look at it. Catholicism was invented by Constantine by mixing Christianity with Roman paganism. Is that really a good thing to begin with?
